Story
(DOB 03/18/2024)  Meet Harvey — equal parts adventure buddy and professional snuggle expert. This sweet boy is happiest when he’s out stretching his legs on a good walk, taking in all the sights and smells like the world’s most enthusiastic explorer. And when the day winds down? Harvey’s ideal spot is curled up in front of a fireplace, soaking in the cozy vibes right alongside his people. Harvey is fully potty trained and seriously smart — the kind of dog who picks things up quickly and loves to show off for a tasty reward. He’s treat motivated, learns fast, and willingly heads into his crate when it’s time for you to be away, settling in like the well-mannered gentleman he is. He’s also got a playful side! Harvey loves tug-of-war with rope toys and has a special appreciation for durable chews — bones, elk antlers, and anything labeled “chew proof” are right up his alley. Most of all, he loves his people and thrives on that connection and attention. Harvey is looking for a home where he can be the only dog, soaking up all the love and companionship he deserves. If you’re searching for a loyal walking partner, cuddle companion, and clever best friend all in one, Harvey might just be your guy.— As part of Harvey’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Harvey, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2131281##

Story
Cash is an almost 7-year-old Catahoula/Terrier mix with a strong gaze and a loyal heart. He is a people dog, happiest when he's near humans, whether that means following you around or curling up within a few feet on the couch. He has great manners. He has a low-to-moderate energy level. Cash is content lounging and napping, with a short morning walk and a longer evening walk - both followed naturally with food. In his down time, he will pick a cozy spot close by or he will bring you his toys when he wants you to chase him. He is good with fireworks and loud noises but weirdly doesn't love the sound of soft rain. Cash would do best in a calm, loving home where he can be part of the family. He a great match for adults or respectful older kids. On leash, he can be selective with other dogs and does best with space and calm handling, which is very manageable with basic guidance. Cash would love to meet the person or family who can give him a calm, loving place to land.

Cash is an almost 7-year-old Catahoula/Terrier Mix with a gaze that melts your heart and a loyalty that knows no bounds. He is happiest when he’s near his people. Cash has impeccable manners and a steady presence that instantly makes a home feel warmer. Cash enjoys a moderate pace of life. A short morning walk and a longer evening stroll keep him happy and healthy, followed by relaxing and napping nearby. When he’s feeling playful, he’ll bring you his toys, asking for a game of chase. He's also a great hiking or running partner. Cash would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can be fully included in family life. On leash, he can be selective with other dogs so he does best with space, calm handling, and careful introductions. He tends to get along best with female dogs or smaller male dogs. He’s ready to give all his love, loyalty, and gentle companionship to the person or family who will welcome him with open arms.

Story
Meet Orieanna, a beautiful 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 45 pounds. She’s spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccines, and ready for a loving forever home. Orieanna is a sweet, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with her person. She’s potty trained, enjoys a good routine, and loves spending time outside—whether it’s exploring the yard, lounging in the sun, or going for relaxing walks. She gets along well with most dogs, but she prefers a home where toys aren’t left out when other dogs are around, as she can be a bit protective of them. Because she bonds so deeply, Orieanna thrives best in a one-person household where she can feel secure and be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your best friend through every adventure, Orieanna might be the perfect match. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Jasper. That’s probably not my real name because my story is unfortunately a lot like many other unwanted pets. I was left to fend for myself not knowing where my next meal would be. Luckily I was rescued and given my chance to shine. I have proven that I really really love people regardless of my early start with humans. I want to be loved so much that I will beg for just a head rub and lap snuggles. Yes I’m a big strong boy but I’m really a small lap dog disguised in a hound dog body. Do I give slobbery kisses, why yes, is there a problem with that? I love to run and play but if given a choice I’d rather be by my persons side. I would make a great adventure companion. Riding shotgun by your side wherever you go, that would be my doggie dream. Currently I share a foster home with lots of other all size dogs but I would really like to be your only ride or die dog. I’ve gone so long without one on one attention that I’m constantly competing for the attention. Am I perfect? Heck no but I’m a diamond in the rough, clay ready to be molded. I’m looking for my person who is ready to be my furever person. One who will love me and never give up on me. I’ve been waiting a long time to just be loved. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 6, 2025, 12:44 pm
