Story
Whoever in the universe painted this gal made a masterpiece of just gorgeous! Ansley is a Catahoula Leopard dog mix who is and adult weighing about 40 lbs full grown and at a great weight. Built a little but like a medium sized gal who might have a little low rider in her, Ansley is sweet as they come with just a little bit of shy mixed in there. This gal is totally waiting to come out of her shell. Ansley does well with other dogs, though for now is more of one for greetings and companionship than a throw down and wrestle kind of girl. She is always a gem in her crate and never demanding about anything making her so very easy to be around. Ansley would do well in lots of different settings but might fare better in those which are not super chaotic. Perhaps older children in the home would be more her speed. Ansley is ready for some good cuddling this fall and will join in with any pumpkin spice adventures (pumpkin is totally dog friend as are pup cups, she would like to remind you) and be an overall best bud be if for walking, hiking or just being. This stunner is ready for the meets and greets so bring it on!

Story
Handsome Bambino came to us as a stray in mid 2023. He`s a happy boy (especially when a pool is involved!). Volunteer notes, 6/17/24:I love Bambino so, so much and have written about him several times, because he is always showing me something new. He is a multifaceted dog! Today we combined his two favorite things--tennis balls and a wading pool--and I am pretty sure he was the happiest dog on earth. You can never have too many tennis balls in your hands at once, and if you throw them into the water in rapid succession it will bring the deepest joy to this smart and energetic doggie as he fetches and drops them as fast as he can. He can catch a tennis ball in his mouth with perfect precision. He could probably outperform most of the Dock Dogs with a little encouragement!Volunteer notes, 5/2/24:I have played with Bambino several times now and my conclusion is that his behavior is very consistent, and he warms up steadily over time. Each time I have played with him we`ve understood each other better. He is a good communicator, and if you listen to his cues, and let him chew on his toys when he wants to, he is the friendliest and gentlest boy you can imagine. The only time he ever growled at me was when I tried to take something from him before he was ready. He used his words; what more can you ask for?! He is smart and I believe he could learn to share his toys more readily with some consistent, positive, patient training. He has the sweetest floppy ears and cutest little cow spots on his back, along with a lovely speckled coat. He will be a great active companion for the lucky person who respects his things and earns his trust! I see the potential for great loyalty from this dog!Dog Day Out notes, 4/19/24:Bambino went on a hike at the beautiful Cates Farm Park in Mebane. He`s one smart and friendly boy. He pulled on the leash at first and would get excitable in the car, around other dogs, and when other people passed. But he is easily corrected with some instruction on the leash. He`s very
