Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: none Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959   Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 9:48 pm

Story
Jed is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old Catahoula mix who has already been through more than any dog should. He was found after being abandoned, hiding underneath a stranger's porch, too frightened to come out. Instead of running, he curled up tighter, hoping the world would simply leave him alone. Thankfully, he was rescued and is now safe. Jed is looking for a loving family that will give him the chance he's never had. He may be a little shy at first, but with kindness, and time, he'll learn what it feels like to truly belong. His striking one blue eye and one brown eye make him unforgettable, but its his gentle heart that will win you over. If you're looking for a loyal companion and are willing to let trust grow at his pace, Jed could be the perfect addition to your family. Approximate Age: 1 year Location: Clarendon, Texas Transport available to approved adopters anywhere for the right home. Jed has waited long enough. Could you be the one to show him that hell never be abandoned again? Story
Meet Toffee (brindle) and Heath (white), a bonded pair of one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula mix brothers with an unshakable connection. These two grew up side by side and have been inseparable ever since. Toffee is hearing-impaired and looks to Heath as his guide and emotional support, while Heath takes that role to heart, always looking out for his brother. Both boys are friendly and affectionate, though they can be a bit timid in new situations. Once they warm up, their personalities shine—Heath is the energetic social butterfly, always ready for playtime or a walk, and Toffee brings a gentle, calming presence with his sweet, soulful eyes. They love running and playing together, whether it’s chasing each other around the yard or stretching out in the grass for a good nap. Their bond makes them the perfect team—Heath gives Toffee confidence, and Toffee keeps Heath grounded. They’re looking for a home that will embrace their unique connection and give them both the love, patience, and space to thrive. With Toffee and Heath, you’re not just adopting dogs—you’re gaining a loyal duo that will fill your life with double the love and twice the tail wags. Story
It is safe to say our naming department really missed the mark on this one. While his name might conjure up images of loud, high-flying stadium antics, this particular dog is not really like his name at all. Looking at him, you are immediately drawn to his striking appearance, defined by a stunning coat of dark brindle swirls and a beautiful face featuring one bright, soulful blue eye paired with a warm brown one. Arriving as a brave survivor during the 2026 Texas floods, this resilient fellow has shown a gentle, watchful nature from the moment he arrived. Instead of an explosion of high energy, he brings a quiet, grounded presence to the room. The bustling environment of a busy shelter can feel overwhelming for him right now, but his quiet courage shines through his calm demeanor. He possesses a genuinely sweet disposition and a companionable spirit that emerges beautifully in quieter moments. Caretakers note that he is a gentle boy who is steadily coming out of his shell as he learns to trust his surroundings. He is simply looking for a peaceful, predictable environment where he can rest his head and truly unwind at his own pace. A patient, low-stress household provides the perfect setting for this good-natured dog to blossom into a wonderful, steady companion. Every small step forward is a rewarding milestone for a sweet soul ready to leave his stormy past behind. Come down and meet T-shirt Cannon to bring a lifetime of quiet devotion into your home today.
