Heath is available for adoption in TX, PNW, and NE (excluding MA & NH) Meet Heath, a year-old Catahoula mix with energy and personality to spare! He's a playful, silly boy who loves to be the first to jump into playtime and equally enjoys crashing for a good nap afterward. Heath was a breeze to potty train and actually enjoys his crate time, especially with a chew toy to keep him company. His favorite things include belly rubs and basking in the sun-though he doesn't mind a little fun if you interrupt him for a quick photo op! Heath is ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever home. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Toffee is available for adoption in Texas only. Meet Toffee, a year-old Catahoula mix with the sweetest personality! While he's cautious due to his limited hearing (he can hear high-pitched sounds or whistles), it doesn't stop him from enjoying life. Toffee loves playing with other dogs, has zero interest in squirrels, and is incredibly gentle with a super soft mouth. He doesn't jump up on people, crates easily, and is almost fully potty trained. Toffee's sweet nature and calm demeanor make him a wonderful companion. He's ready to find a loving forever home! Could Toffee be the sweet addition to your family? Story
Hi there, I’m Athena! I’m what you might call a professional napper and full-time cuddle buddy. If there’s a cozy couch or a warm lap nearby, you can bet I’m already snuggled into it. My days are usually pretty chill—lots of snoozing, dreaming of squirrels, and waiting patiently for someone to give me a good belly rub (seriously, I live for belly rubs). But don’t let my love of lounging fool you—I’ve got some serious zoomies when I get outside! Give me a big yard or a trail to run on, and I’ll show you just how fast these legs can go. I could chase the wind for hours if you let me. Kids? Oh, I adore them. They’re the perfect size for cuddles and treats! I haven’t met any cats yet (what are those, anyway?), but I’ve gotten along great with little dogs once we get to know each other. I’m polite like that. I’ve been through a tough chapter… My last human passed away, and I stayed by their side until help came. All I want now is a safe place, a little playtime, and someone who will love me

Story
Calling all 90's babies, your nostalgic Tamagotchi is looking for a home! Here's just a few of the million reasons you should consider adopting him: -He's such a fun dog and would make a great adventure buddy! He loves to play, swim, ride in the car (although he falls asleep quick), and go on walks. - He's absolutely beautiful. Do you see those markings?! The pictures don't do his coat justice. - He's food motivated and eager to please, ESPECIALLY if you have cheese. He'd probably rob a bank for some good cheese. -He's loyal and affectionate. -He's a staff and volunteer favorite. He's like that cool dude on campus that everyone wants to be like. KEEP READING, we even have some glowing home notes on him! Here's what his foster had to say: - House-trained - Loves playing tug of war and napping - Very smart and isa quick learner. He picked up on house rules quickly and listens well. - Chill most of the day. When we come back inside after taking him out, he wants to play with the ball or rope for a few minutes then he's back to sleep. - Cuddly and loving. He lays at my feet while we work from home. - Hasn't been destructive when left alone Tamagotchi's ideal home would be low traffic, adults only, and with an active family. He does have potential to live with well matched dog siblings. If you're considering Tamagotchi but aren't sure if it's a good fit, please email matchmakers@austinpetsalive.org to get more information and/or set up a meet and greet!
