You know why there are so many references to Brandi in songs…because Brandi’s are always sweet. Think about it, have you ever met a bad Brandi? Not me, and this one won’t be the one to change that. She is affectionate, top-teir couch potato, and such easy-going company. Estimated to be around 5 years old and possibly a Catahoula/Pittie mix, she is 65 lbs of lover girl. The snuggles are guaranteed but breed and birthday are not, because of course, she is a rescue. A girl has to maintain a little mystery, right? But, to say she just wants to find a soft-spot and stay there is an understatement. That is all she is looking for and those soulful eyes of hers will tell you she is right where she wants to be. Having been the one that got to see her sleeping away on a couch and had to get her up, Ill tell you, it is hard to want to disturb her once she settles in- she is angelic and it is as relaxing to watch as I imagine it is for her to experience. She lives with other dogs in her foster home and her foster praises her respectful, no-drama, quiet confidence with other dogs. In the yard or on walks, she keeps that same approach- no overexcitement or concern, a little like a mama-supervisor type. Here’s the thing though, her foster can see how over-the-moon happy she is when she gets to enjoy the only-dog life. Seeing her get comfortable in a home, it is easy to know that everything about her deeply appreciates the comfy, coziness of home life and would love to soak it all up without having to be on mama-supervisor duty. She gets attached to the people and things she loves, don’t we all, and we would love to see her get the chance to rest her shoulders and enjoy. To say it simply, she’ll do best as an only dog in the home—not because she doesn’t get along with dogs, she's not trying to start trouble, she just wants to feel safe and secure and at peace when she is home. Same girl- same! As for people? Brandi is pure love. She’s cuddly, snuggly, and soaks up affection like a sponge while also being easygoing, low-maintenance energy. Give her a couch, a calm environment, and someone to love, and she’s perfectly content. Total companion dog energy. A home with a yard would be great, she loves a little sun-session or a nap in the grass but she doesn’t need, and could be an apartment girlie. The key will be regular walks and moments along your walk where she gets to roll in the grass or stop and soak up the sun and smells. We see a lot of dogs but very few that are as striking as Evee! Take a look at her cuteness in motion then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/DBjd5mQgrRA Evee is estimated to be around 2 years old, she weighs 43 lbs,yes she is full-grown, and we believe she may be a Catahoula/Pitbull mix. Her small frame and gorgeous coat will turn heads, but it’s her quiet sweetness that wins people over. She’s currently being fostered with two calm, well-mannered medium-sized dogs, and she’s done well with them—the 6 year old female is her playmate while the 8 year old male is less interested in playing and she fully respects that and coexists peacefully. In her previous foster home, Evee lived with three children under the age of 7, and she was dubbed “their best-pupfriend.” They shared that she is gentle, patient, and always ready to join in on the fun. She’s also cat-tolerant, showing cautious, respectful behavior when introduced to our house cat. She’d likely do well with a calm feline companion who isn’t overly pushy or mean-spirited. The day that we first met Evee, she took a little time to warm up to us but she approached gently and sat close. Its easy to feel that her heart is open and loving but prefers to take things slow. During our first meeting, Evee was quietly unsure of being in a new place with new people, but within about 10 minutes she started showing signs of interest and curiosity towards us. Once dogs were introduced, she followed them around quietly and even responded to an invitation to play from a calm, friendly male. Evee is both house and crate trained, and has lived in an apartment. Thanks to her size, quiet nature and ease on a leash she is a great candidate for a smaller apartment complex. On top of that, her foster shared that she rides well in the car and has no problem sharing her beloved stuffie toys with her dog friends or little kids. Evee’s ideal home includes a confident, dog-friendly resident dog who enjoys play with an approach that is more playful than pushy. Meet Tiger! This 4 month old cutie weighs about 41 pounds. We think he might be a Catahoula / Labrador Retriever mix, but as a proud rescue, their breed blend is a mystery – making them 100% unique and 100% loveable! We see a lot of dogs but very few that are as striking as Evee! Take a look at her cuteness in motion then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/DBjd5mQgrRA Evee is estimated to be around 2 years old, she weighs 43 lbs,yes she is full-grown, and we believe she may be a Catahoula/Pitbull mix. Her small frame and gorgeous coat will turn heads, but it’s her quiet sweetness that wins people over. She’s currently being fostered with two calm, well-mannered medium-sized dogs, and she’s done well with them—the 6 year old female is her playmate while the 8 year old male is less interested in playing and she fully respects that and coexists peacefully. In her previous foster home, Evee lived with three children under the age of 7, and she was dubbed “their best-pupfriend.” They shared that she is gentle, patient, and always ready to join in on the fun. She’s also cat-tolerant, showing cautious, respectful behavior when introduced to our house cat. She’d likely do well with a calm feline companion who isn’t overly pushy or mean-spirited. The day that we first met Evee, she took a little time to warm up to us but she approached gently and sat close. Its easy to feel that her heart is open and loving but prefers to take things slow. During our first meeting, Evee was quietly unsure of being in a new place with new people, but within about 10 minutes she started showing signs of interest and curiosity towards us. Once dogs were introduced, she followed them around quietly and even responded to an invitation to play from a calm, friendly male. Evee is both house and crate trained, and has lived in an apartment. Thanks to her size, quiet nature and ease on a leash she is a great candidate for a smaller apartment complex. On top of that, her foster shared that she rides well in the car and has no problem sharing her beloved stuffie toys with her dog friends or little kids. Evee’s ideal home includes a confident, dog-friendly resident dog who enjoys play with an approach that is more playful than pushy. Meet Tiger! This 4 month old cutie weighs about 41 pounds. Tiki is a sweetie boy! He loves toys, gives the gentlest kisses, has a downright adorable face, and the sweetest most sensitive puppy-heart I have experienced. He is estimated to be 6-months-old, still growing, and currently weighs around 32 lbs. He is in the sweet spot of being puppy-hearted but old enough to show you who he really is: sensitive, affectionate, smart, and full of potential. This guy lives with over 10 dogs in his foster home and is doing amazing with all of them. His dog friends range from young to old and although they like to play and chase him, he enjoys his solo time just as much as he does playtime. Tiki thrives in calm, low-drama environments and is incredibly affectionate. His foster shared that he bonds really deeply with his people. Once he knows you are his safe space, he becomes melty in your arms and soaks up the affection like a sponge. 
Tiki is excellent with small dogs and learning that large dogs are not intimidating. Growing up as the biggest in a home full of littles means he thought that’s what life is but as he has met and played with more same size and larger dogs, he is seeing how fun and exciting it is to meet your match. He would thrive with a medium-to-low energy small dog friend or an equal sized dog that can give him a little time to warm up before going right in to ask if he wants to play. He is a sweet boy and still learning how to engage with big dogs. He is very responsive to guidance and shares toys and love with ease so we have no doubt he will be quick to connect if joining a home with an equal/larger dog. The day I met Tiki we were under a full-blown thunder storm and Tiki did not care for it. Although I could see he was a little stressed while outside, once we were inside the house where it was calmer and quieter, he was back to his happy, relaxed self. Tiki would do well in a home with older kids where he can peacefully build a bond over time. He met 4 year old Kobe and was gentle and sweet in his approach but also cautious of him, especially when he started jumping around and being a little wild. When we asked his foster, she shared that he has only met kids a few times and briefly. Rescue dogs are often learning about lots of new things in their foster homes and that is true for Tiki. His foster has exposed him to so many wonderful things and is teaching him a variety of skills. Currently, she shared that he is house and crate trained, food motivated, eager to please, great in the car and has great basic leash skills. It is easy to imagine Tiki being happy in a home with a yard for bouncing around in but with regular walks and enrichment, it is possible to see him as an apartment boy. In a house with lots of dogs, Tiki eats well and did initially, on occasion, try to sneak over to another dog’s bowl, so he is fed in his crate which has helped him learn his own things from the sharing things. Tiki is a soft, sweet, sensitive boy who just wants to feel loved and secure. With a little patience, a gentle routine, and maybe a dog buddy—he’s going to thrive. Questions? Jennie has recently just won the award for best hugs. She puts her front legs around you and if for some reason she can’t give you a full on hug, she will just wrap her little paws around your arm, looking deeply into your eyes. Don’t believe us? Guess you will just have to find out for yourself when you come to meet her! Jennie is dog friendly, cat tolerant, and most of all a people lover, kids included! People are just her favorite! She has been around kids as young as 4 years old to 11 years old and you guessed it, she was a huggie girl with them too. She definitely gravitated toward the Elijah, the 11 year old and was so happy sitting next to him, giving him sweet kisses, and inching herself closer for hugs. Even for snuggles on the floor, she loved being snuggled by Elijah and really enjoyed being around his calm energy. She did great with Kobe, the 4 year old too, she just definitely had a favorite. It didn't bother her when Kobe was jumping around, tossing toys, making loud noises or even moving fast unexpectedly, she just sat next to Elijah, watched him, and then went out of her way to go give Kobe a little kiss. Jennie would be a great companion for a family with 1-2 kids, and would be happiest with both kids little bit older or similar to Elijah and Kobe's age difference. She appreciates the way older kids give her a little space to open up and even more so when even smaller humans are around, you know to teach them the ropes sorta thing. She let them dress her up, put silly bunny ears on her, and headbands. One thing that was super cute and she kept on doing, was she kept coming back to Elijah and laying her head on the pillow right next to him! It was so sweet! The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
