Story
Alpha is a bright, enthusiastic 2-year-old boy who meets life-and people-with full-body excitement. He loves greeting new friends so much that he sometimes jumps, but this boy is unbelievably smart and highly trainable, makingmanners work both fun and achievable. Alpha thrives in a home that can give him plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment to help him channel that big brain and big heart into being the best companion he can be.Shelter life has been frustrating for him, so he may bark in his kennel and pull when heading out for walks. With consistency and guidance, he'll shine-he's eager to learn and wants to get it right.Originally labeled "no dogs," Alpha surprised us in a recent playgroup session. After a careful intro, he turned into a goofy, playful buddy with a friendly, confident female and handled her corrections beautifully. But caution should stillbe applied when being introduced to other dogs. With the right match and an experienced adopter, Alpha has shown that he is capable of having doggy friends. If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Alpha, 265337".He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, werecommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Black Brown Weight: 73 Age: 2yrs 0mths 4wks
