Story
We named him Monty after a character from The 100—sweet, loyal, and gentle—which fits him perfectly. We got Monty on October 6, 2024, and he has been an amazing family dog. He is extremely tolerant and gentle, even letting our baby sit on his face without reacting. He loves cuddles, running, balls, and playtime, but he is very gentle when taking food or treats from our hands. Monty is energetic and stubborn sometimes. He pulls on the leash and will dash out doors, so he needs a fenced yard. Loud and large vehicles scare him. He has been on 4Health Sensitive Skin food since we got him and does well with it. He is crate-trained, calm when left alone, does well at boarding, and travels well with potty breaks. We are only putting him up for adoption because of an upcoming Army move that won’t allow us to transport him due to his size. He is a wonderful dog who needs space and an open yard so he can run and play free.

Story
From what I am told he is Anatolian Shepard mixed with Saint Bernard He is a sweetheart. The adoption place in Colorado said they thought he might have lupus because of a patch of missing hair on his nose. Turns out he scratches his face when he is nervous. After moving to a place without carpet it stopped happening He was originally found abandoned in an office building so he definitely develops separation anxiety. Despite being 140 lbs he thinks he is a lap dog. He is a giant baby. Really good with children and other dogs. Seems to be afraid of cats. But has only had very little exposure. My life fell apart so we are currently living in my car that doesn't work 😂 I'm almost out of money and food He needs space and love.

Story
Jalapeña Pupper is a sweet, gentle dog who is much more comfortable with people than with other dogs. During her first playgroup, she seemed nervous and defensive around her playmates, so she may do best as the only pet in the home. With humans, she is very loving. Volunteers say she is calm, kind, and enjoys being around people. She likes going for walks where she can take her time sniffing everything, and she's easy to walk on leash. After a walk, she's happy to relax and enjoy some cuddle time. She also takes treats gently. If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Jalapeña Pupper 265912".She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 56.5 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Hallie is a shy girl who is quickly gaining confidence and trust each day she's in foster. She's very friendly and after she warms up, she's outgoing! She does seem to know her name but also has a nickname of "Hal pal" or "Hal". She loves her foster mom's cats and sometimes forgets her size when she tries to play with them. She needs gentle reminders to be gentle with kitties but overall does well with them- would do best with a dog savvy kitty. Hallie is crate trained and potty trained. She would be happy to sleep in her crate, on her bed next to you or in your bed with you! She is a complete love bug who loves snuggles and human interaction. She loves peanut butter Kongs, collagen chews or any other chewy treat! Hallie has not interacted with kids or other dogs during her time in foster but has had no reaction to dogs walking by the fence. While she would LOVE an adopter who works from home, she is just fine & content in her crate for extended periods! If you're interested in meeting Hallie, please email animalcenter@wake.gov with the subject line "Hallie 265570". Please feel free to reach out with any questions! Primary Color: Fawn Secondary Color: Black Weight: 49 Age: 0yrs 9mths 1wks
