Story
Meet Eddie! Eddie is a 100+ pound german shepherd mix who doesn’t know he isn’t a lapdog. He is neutered, UTD on all his shots/meds & housebroken. He does love going for a walk, but his true love is a tennis ball. He’s still working on bringing it back, but chase is the most fun, right? Eddie would do best in a home without small kids just because of his size, but he gets along with the older kids that he’s met as well as dogs in his current foster home. He is indifferent to the cat, aside from his love of her food.  Eddie was found as a stray and he had a couple of seizures when he was first found. He is now on medication twice a day (which he takes as a treat) and has not had a seizure in over 6 months.  Eddie is a medium to low energy dog, who wants all the snuggles & treats, and an occasional stroll around the neighborhood. Fill out an application to meet him! ##1360104##

Story
Tito is a wonderful sweet boy. He does very well with pups of all sizes. With smaller dogs we will suggest supervision as he doesn’t know his size. He would be a great hiking partner with some additional leash training. He is a quick learner we have worked on a good sit over the few days we have had him with us and are working on his confidence when called thru doorways /gates as he will hesitate. A home with an additional pup may help him with confidence and learning but is not a must. He sleeps well in his kennel and does well with daytime breaks in his kennel as well.    Apply to meet Tito at pipsrescue.org/adopt ##1442824##

Story
Scrooge is about 8-9 months old and a german shepherd mix. Scrooge shows interest in playing with other dogs and does best with slow intros. He is skittish of people and takes awhile to warm up. Like a typical Shepherd Scrooge is very vocal. He will need an experienced Shepherd adopter! If you do NOT have experience in this breed please do not apply. Scrooge will need a lot of socialization and poses as a potential flight risk as they were found as strays in a little pack. NO SMALL CHILDREN NO SMALL ANIMALS ##1586283##

Story
Tallulah is READY TO GO HOME TODAY!! Good with cats? YES! Good with kids? YES! Good with other dogs? YES! Knows common commands? YES! According to Tallulah's surrender paperwork, she is a straight A student for mastering all those sometimes difficult-to-know screening questions. Meet Tallulah - an almost 6 years old Belgian Malinois lady who loves to play fetch and go on mile-long runs/walks/hikes. Afterwards, she enjoys soaking up both the sun and lots of human attention - the more attention, the better! In regards to training, she has known commands such as "sit", "stay", "wait", "down", "drop it", "go get the ball", "leave it" and responds to her name when called. She is very treat motivated and a fast learner. She lived harmoniously with a cat and has interacted with children of all ages in her previous home. She is afraid of vacuums and loud noises. She gets along with other dogs that are introduced by a family member in the home, but her previous owners did claim she had some reactivity to unknown dogs while on a walk. Tallulah is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and already spayed. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. If you're interested in learning more about Tallulah, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Tallulah 240354" Primary Color: Fawn Weight: 52 Age: 5yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Tokyo was surrendered to the shelter by her family that she had lived with for 2 years. Tokyo was an outside dog. The family stated on her surrender form that they were worried for her safety because of coyotes. She was born at their house-so this is the only family she has known. It is always good to have information from the family. Tokyo was said to have gotten along well at her vet visits. She has interacted with young and older children and was said to do well. She has interacted with dogs. Her family stated that she became scared if the other dog was aggresive. She does not get along with cats. Tokyo was said to be shy, and loved to play. She knows SIT and walks well on leash. The volunteers have noted that she collars easily and is happy to be outside on leash with a person. The family listed her breed as pitbull/Belgian Malinois. Both intelligent breeds-and loyal family dogs. The Malinois is considered a herding/working breed. They are most content with an active lifestyle. If you think Tokyo would be a good match for your family-based on her breed and personality-please come and give her a chance at a loving family. If you're interested in learning more about Tokyo, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Tokyo 239174."Tokyo is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
