Story
The first thing that came to my mind when I first met Bitty Bonbon, was how gentle, sweet and loving she is! It was one of those interactions where I immediately knew she is one of "soul" type dogs. She has this overwhelming calming presence about her and gentleness about her that is hard to describe. We actually had someone say that being around Bitty Bonbon is like having your own personal therapy session and has this ability to bring you back to down a "zen" state. Besides her overwhelming calming presence about her, everything about Bitty Bonbon is easy peasy. From walking on leash, to taking treats, to meeting dogs, literally everything. She is the companion dog of your dreams. Watch her video and fall in love with this sweet lovable girl: https://youtu.be/ZmUOXIN-ONA?si=il7f6bqzp73oFbCU Bitty Bonbon is believed to be a shepherd mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 42 lbs. Don't let her pictures fool you, she is little and the perfect size. She's not too small and not too big. The best of both worlds. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's alway a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Bitty Bonbon is very dog friendly and she has done great with all the dogs we have introduced her too. She is respectful and patient with all different types of play styles, tolerant with even the pushiest of dogs, and is a calming comforting presence for even the shyest of dogs. She shares food, toys, and affection so gracefully too. Bitty is not overly playful with other dogs, she is more of the hangout and enjoy the nice weather type of girly. When Bitty does play, she has a gentle and bouncy play style and from what we have seen, she seems to enjoy playtime with young aloof playful dogs. If you don't have other dogs, that's totally fine! Bitty Bonbondoes not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable and open up. She is a happy and sweet little lady all on her own and we're sure she wouldn't mind being the center of your world. When it comes to training, Bitty Bonbon is a smart girly and treat motivated. She already knows some basic commands such as sit, is easy to walk on a leash, and she is crate and potty trained. Any future additional training you want to do with Bitty Bonbon will be so easy with her. She is also already a natural dancer too and will spin for a treat. She would be a great companion to have around if you work from home because she is quiet, has shown to have great house manners, and will just snuggle up on the couch and snooze while you get your work done. She would also be a great little adventure buddy as well. She loves to explore and is honestly just happy being anywhere as long as she is with you. We are willing to test Bitty Bonbon with anything you need to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Take a second to sit back & relax, meet Molly Mae! Molly went on an exciting road trip with her foster brother last year in hopes to find her forever family. Although she hasn’t found them just yet, we know they are out there somewhere! On her trip, Molly traveled over 3,600 miles in a car. Woah!! Not only is she totally interesting and ready to share all of her world traveling stories with you, but she’s most of all looking for love. The first thing you will notice about this girl is how intelligent she is. Molly is also nothing short of an impressive performance dog with her sit, down, and touch skills. She also has amazing recall, and has mastered “heel” and “leave it” when she passes by other dogs on her daily walks. She loves being brushed too. One of our volunteers loves her so much, he comes multiple times a week to sit with her and brush her. She sits perfectly for him for 45 minutes straight, never leaving his side even when new doggies walk by. It melted my heart, and it surely will melt yours too. Molly is a big fan of her daily routine, and she hopes you will help her create a new one in her new home. The girl knows what she likes! Molly also loves a good game of fetch— she will bring the ball back and drop it! Calling all shepherd lovers, because this girls personality will need someone familiar with this breed! Is that you? Meet Molly girl here! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yR7D5PYFxhU&feature=youtu.be Molly has so many good qualities to her. She is great in her crate, and best of all she is quiet in there too! She is calm and relaxed when you take her out. When you want her to go back in she just walks right in! She is very food motivated and loves a good treat (don’t we all!). She even let a 4 year old train her! She sat for him, and waited patiently for him to share some of his yummy cheese stick. Molly is not the jumping around ball of energy type, she is respectful of her surroundings and the people in it! Little tiny kids can be a little overwhelming with all of the bouncing and kid friendly chaos, so we believe Molly would do better with kids 7 years and up. Or children that will be able to understand her boundaries. Family coming over to visit with younger kids should not be a problem for her, this is just something she prefers! Mollys interest in treats would make for a super fun training session! Molly is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. Molly really likes to bond with her people. She is so loyal and loving, when her forever family comes to get her I have no doubt it will be the happiest day of her life! She would be happy to stay home and put around the backyard too! Speaking of homes and yards, this girl needs one! Having a structured area for her to play and mosey around in would be her dream. Molly does not need another dog in the home, but if she were to have one she prefers to be with more submissive, medium energy males that will participate in her similar play style. Molly can be a little rowdy with her best friend sometimes, but it’s all fun and games. Molly would be perfectly content being your one and only too! No kitty cats for this queen, they are just way too fun to chase and bark at. Her ideal family would be those that love some good quality time. We could totally see her hanging out at the backyard barbecue hoping you’ll slip her a little something under the table. When this girl falls for you, she falls hard. If only we could all be so lucky to have a best friend like her. Are you ready to add the perfect loyal companion to your life? Apply for her today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/680a6339fe589ad4230a2f7b Questions? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Clementine Cleveland

German Shepherd Dog

Female, 5 yrs 7 mos
Bellingham, WA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
With her sparkling eyes, soft coat, and those big, expressive ears that perk right up, Clementine is a total heart-stealer. Clementine is the type of dog that will make you laugh with her silly toy-tossing antics, melt into you with her sweet snuggles, and bring joy to every corner of your home. If you've been dreaming of a dog who is both a best friend for adventures and a snuggle buddy for quiet evenings, Clementine is the girl you've been waiting for. Watch Clementine’s personality shine in her video! https://youtu.be/bZHHC4BEfyA?feature=shared At around 5 years old, this Australian Kelpie/ German Shepherd mix (no promises!) has the perfect balance of energy playfulness, and cuddles. Her coat is so unique with the sweetest markings on her face and body. And of course, my personal favorite, the eyebrows!! Clementine's personality is as warm as her name suggests. She's confident, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy. She loves to flop over for belly rubs, wiggle around with happy kicks in the air, and curl up into your lap when invited. She loves her humans and thrives on being included in family life, whether that's playing fetch in the yard, going for a walk, or cuddling up on the couch after a long day! Clementine loves a walk during the quiet morning or evening hours when there’s not so many people out and about. She craves zen and peacefulness on her explorations out of the house, it’s her sacred time! She would absolutely love a serene hike, or even walking around a nature preserve. That’s the life! She is food-motivated, toy-loving, and extremely smart, making her super trainable! Clementine is lucky enough to be in a foster home where she has proven to be a loving and adaptable companion. She lives with two dogs, small and big, whom she romps around and plays with. She responds super well to doggies who may not want to play with her as much, and she's super eager to please. Clementine believes kitty cats are totally down for a game of chase (which we all know they are not. lol!) so it’s best to say a feline free home is the home for her. She also has human foster siblings! Ages 12, 9, and 5. She loves playing in the yard with them. Around the house, she is extremely well-mannered, house-trained, and crate-trained. She sleeps soundly at night in her crate, and occasionally even snuggles up into bed with her foster family. When it comes to meeting other dogs, Clementine is a social butterfly. She loves her canine friends and greets them with confidence and excitement. She has wonderful manners when sharing treats and food, patiently waiting her turn. On leash, she can get excited at the sight of other dogs, but it is purely from her excitement to greet them! She heels great, and responds super well to leash directions! With consistency, Clementine will blossom into a beautifully well-mannered walking companion. Clementine's ideal home would be one where she can have plenty of space to stretch her legs, preferably a yard! She has been dreaming of a yard of her own to romp around in for soooo long. She would love playtime and soaking up all the affection she craves. Clementine would be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, getting all the attention, but she would also thrive in a home with a doggy sibling to play with! More than anything, Clementine wants to be included in the everyday life of her family, whether that's serene adventures outside, fetch sessions, or simply snuggling for a movie night! Clementine is truly special because of her ability to be both lively and calm, playful and cuddly, and silly and sweet. She will brighten your mornings with wagging tails and happy hops, keep you laughing during the day, and curl up close at night to remind you how loved you are. Her foster family says it best: “Whoever ends up with her is going to get a great dog. She will love them so much.” Clementine is ready to share her love, loyalty, and sunshine with a forever family.
