Story
Take a second to sit back & relax, meet Molly Mae! Molly went on an exciting road trip with her foster brother last year in hopes to find her forever family. Although she hasn’t found them just yet, we know they are out there somewhere! On her trip, Molly traveled over 3,600 miles in a car. Woah!! Not only is she totally interesting and ready to share all of her world traveling stories with you, but she’s most of all looking for love. The first thing you will notice about this girl is how intelligent she is. Molly is also nothing short of an impressive performance dog with her sit, down, and touch skills. She also has amazing recall, and has mastered “heel” and “leave it” when she passes by other dogs on her daily walks. She loves being brushed too. One of our volunteers loves her so much, he comes multiple times a week to sit with her and brush her. She sits perfectly for him for 45 minutes straight, never leaving his side even when new doggies walk by. It melted my heart, and it surely will melt yours too. Molly is a big fan of her daily routine, and she hopes you will help her create a new one in her new home. The girl knows what she likes! Molly also loves a good game of fetch— she will bring the ball back and drop it! Calling all shepherd lovers, because this girls personality will need someone familiar with this breed! Is that you? Meet Molly girl here! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yR7D5PYFxhU&feature=youtu.be Molly has so many good qualities to her. She is great in her crate, and best of all she is quiet in there too! She is calm and relaxed when you take her out. When you want her to go back in she just walks right in! She is very food motivated and loves a good treat (don’t we all!). She even let a 4 year old train her! She sat for him, and waited patiently for him to share some of his yummy cheese stick. Molly is not the jumping around ball of energy type, she is respectful of her surroundings and the people in it! Little tiny kids can be a little overwhelming with all of the bouncing and kid friendly chaos, so we believe Molly would do better with kids 7 years and up. Or children that will be able to understand her boundaries. Family coming over to visit with younger kids should not be a problem for her, this is just something she prefers! Mollys interest in treats would make for a super fun training session! Molly is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. Molly really likes to bond with her people. She is so loyal and loving, when her forever family comes to get her I have no doubt it will be the happiest day of her life! She would be happy to stay home and put around the backyard too! Speaking of homes and yards, this girl needs one! Having a structured area for her to play and mosey around in would be her dream. Molly does not need another dog in the home, but if she were to have one she prefers to be with more submissive, medium energy males that will participate in her similar play style. Molly can be a little rowdy with her best friend sometimes, but it’s all fun and games. Molly would be perfectly content being your one and only too! No kitty cats for this queen, they are just way too fun to chase and bark at. Her ideal family would be those that love some good quality time. We could totally see her hanging out at the backyard barbecue hoping you’ll slip her a little something under the table. When this girl falls for you, she falls hard. If only we could all be so lucky to have a best friend like her. Are you ready to add the perfect loyal companion to your life? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Roxy girl is ready to rock your world with her amazingness!! This is a petite girl, who we believe to be a german shepherd mix... Of course with rescue, age and breed are just a guess. But we think she's still a young girl at around 18 months. She may be young, but shes not bringing that crazy puppy energy-- which we love. So, do you want a young girl who is gentle, calm, and ready to be yours? Well Roxy the little old soul is here waiting for you. Roxy is an absolute queen on leash. She is very tolerant too, letting us touch her cute little feets and big ole ears. This is important because it shows us how she will be at future veterinary appointments. And we were right-- shes completely calm at the vet, laying down patiently at her moms feet. Want to see it for yourself? Well click right here to meet her! https://youtu.be/R_4xnPyN_Fw?si=KgBGuLN_gNkPKzb6 She is polite and gentle when meeting new friends, never rushing into it. She is more aloof and prefers to go on to do her own thing, like sniffing around the yard. She is amazing at "going to bed" in her crate. Roxy goes on walks two times a day with her foster mom. She tandem walks well with her foster siblings too! Her favorite toy is her hot pink dinosaur stuffy, she wont destroy it at all! If her foster siblings are playing she wont try to steal either. We believe this girl could fit in with a pack or be perfectly content being your one and only pretty princess. As far as manners go, this girl has plenty. She will not get on the couch unless shes invited, even though she loves it. HEr foster mom says she is "absolute love" and just aims to please. Roxy is super kid friendly, living with a 5 and a 12 year old. She will even let them walk and train her! Go Roxy! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
If you like your dogs on the big side, with the potential for even bigger? Fluffy on the outside and soft-souled on the inside, River is here for you! River is the kind of dog who makes everyone stop in their tracks, not because he’s loud or chaotic, but because he’s eye-catching, handsome, and oh-so gentle and welcoming for his size. When he was brought to our main rescue office it was all oooohhhs and ahhhhhs, followed by, “Can we approach and touch?”. The team was so excited and proud to say, YES!! He is as loving, soft, and affectionate as he looks! Take a look at his mellowness in motion, then come back to read more: https://youtu.be/bBnetZgN-WE River is estimated to be about a year old, currently weighs 87 lbs, and may be a German Shepherd/Husky mix—maybe even some Anatolian sprinkled in. As with all rescues, age and breed are our best guesses. Sometimes that’s the best part about rescue, finding all the fun breeds your pup has! What we can guarantee is that he is a lot of loving fluff and incredibly affectionate, though never in a pushy way. He leans into you, rests that giant head near your lap, and soaks up love like a pro. You can even hold his paws and let him “dance” with you—standing up, he’ll likely be as tall as you. It’s like slow dancing with a gentle, oversized stuffed animal. Please don’t mistake “big” for “difficult.” River has that magical gentle-giant quality where the look is powerhouse and the personality is marshmallow. He walks well on leash and is very manageable for such a large dog. Being young, he’ll benefit from continued structure, but his calm, observant, unbothered nature makes him an absolute joy. He brings chill vibes all day. Truly the definition of big dog, easy spirit. River currently lives in a loving foster home with multiple dogs out in the country of Texas and does wonderfully! Even his foster says he’s just an easygoing boy—no trouble, no chaos, just peaceful dog energy. We are just now going to quote some of things his fosters have to say about him, they are seasoned fosters and know a great dog when they meet one. River takes treats sooo gently River snuggles on the couch with our big pack of misfit dogs! Great at sharing! River is completely house trained River is the perfect mix of mellow and playful. Except the playful is more prancing with dogs. On the rare occasion he wants to play with the dogs, he does a prancing “dance” to invite! Great car rider and fantastic on the leash Loves the rope toy and playing tug-o-war with other dogs and us. Goes after the ball! River is great around other dogs and he loves being a pack animal. He doesn’t need a home with other dogs but he clearly does well with them! Some of the different dog temperament and personalities of the dogs he is fostered with include the queen bee- senior pittie female- she has no reservations correcting dogs if they get too rowdy. River is such a sweet gentleman, he makes sure to not react or bother her. She loves River because he is very relaxed and finds his spot on the floor or on the couch. You will find the assertive male dog and boy does love River! River is mindful and respectful of him. River has also accepted corrections from him and too if ever warranted! There are some aloof females and males that he will play with. He gets bouts of the zoomies in the back yard and mostly romps around with the dogs. He likes to be that awkward 3rd, 4th, or even 5th wheel! If you watched his video, then you also saw how incredibly gentle and tolerant he is with his favorite buddy! A 7 month old foster puppy named. Lily. He clearly is so unbothered by her climbing all over him, sharing toys, kissing, nibbling, invading his space while he is trying to relax, messing with his tail, or any of the things puppies like to do.His foster mom says they are like two peas in a pod and that it is almost like he has taken it upon himself to assume the "big brother" or "fun uncle" role. Seeing how gentle he is, even with a puppy, is simply who is to his core. A gentle giant. With cats, he was politely aloof—“Huh. A cat. Okay.” He went on an overnight stay with a cat for further testing and did initially bark at the cat. Once the cat hissed at him, he did not mind her the rest of the time. One thing to note is that his cat is not a very active cat. She does not run or play around. Every cat has different personalities. Please inquire to get further cat testing. River’s long legs would like a nice long yard. He doesn’t need constant exercise or intense stimulation, just love, gentle structure, space to stretch out, and a comfy place to nap. He’s gorgeous, calm, sweet, and big—but somehow still tiptoes through life like he doesn’t want to bother anyone. If your heart is set on a truly huggable best friend who brings peace, steadiness, gentle companionship and who would love having a dog buddy at home; River is ready for the role. Story
It's not every day you find a hidden gem or a diamond in the rough, well today is your lucky day. Sapphire Jewel is that and so much more, she is a true treasure just waiting for you to take her home. Her personality radiates just like that one icy blue eye of hers, she's smart, gentle, and amazing with other dogs. Sapphire is not just a good dog, she's the rare kind. Watch her video and fall in love with this gorgeous gal: https://youtu.be/wzBIBxncP7Y?si=VAPgcptnGA7ucfFS Sapphire Jewel is approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 55 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Sapphire is very dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced her to. She has been in playgroups with upwards of 10 dogs all with different personalities and has even been used as an assessment dog from time to time. She does great when meeting new dogs and then will either play with them or will go off and do her own thing. That's what is so great about her, the way she is able adapt to the dogs around her. She can run around, have a good time and she also just as happy going off and doing her own thing while the other dogs are being wild. If she's not playing with other dogs, or off exploring in la la land, she's close to her person being a hangout girly. When Sapphire does play, she plays like a total shepherd. If you know shepherds or have ever owned one, then you know they love mouthy air play, will give nose boops where they see fit LOL, and use their paws like they are professional boxers at times. Shepherd play is definitely entertaining to say the least. She will also give a subtle correction to a dog if she's not up for play in that moment or if the play was getting a little too rough. Like how an older sister would do with her little brother, a teaching moment. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine by Sapphire. She does not need the company of an other dog to help her feel comfortable or open up nor does she need another dog to help fulfill her energy needs. She is a total love bug with her people and will be completely satisfied with some play time in the back yard with her person or a walk around the neighborhood. She has also met our house cat Biggie and did really well around him as well. She was respectful around him, wasn't bothered by him running around, jumping, and they even shared affection with each other, treats, and overall space with each other. For the most part, Sapphire was very mindful around Biggie and was respectful of his space. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home with a kitty friend and things can always change once in the home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions, she has the potential to live harmoniously with a cat in the home. If you have a cat and are interested in adopting Sapphire, please let us know and we will arrange for this sweet baby to have a sleepover with a cat. When it comes to training, Sapphire is ready and eager to learn! She loves treats and already knows a few basic commands such a sit and she has a natural instinct of wanting to give hugs. You could probably even teach her how to dance too or even to hug on command LOL. You'll even see in her video that she does these cute tap dances for a treat and she can catch them in the air too! Sapphire is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only pulls every so often. Mainly, she'll pull towards something that smells yummy or is interesting to her, or she'll want pull towards someone to say hello to. Sapphire really does love every she meets! She responds well to correction and with consistency and practice she'll be walking like a queen on leash. Sapphire has already shown us that she understands what is means to have wonderful house manners and is crate and potty trained. Sapphire will thrive with a semi-active family that enjoys frequent outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to the beach or even casual play time in the yard. A family or individual who appreciates nature and is ready to explore parks, trails, or snowy landscapes would be perfect. While she loves the great outdoors and loves to explore, Sapphire is also an affectionate gal at home and loves to burry her head into you for love. If you enjoy the outdoors but also cherish time spent relaxing indoors, Sapphire is the perfect fit. She would also do best in a home with a backyard as well. A place where she can stretch her legs, check out all of her favorite sniff spots, and roll around in the grass and sunbathe during those beautiful summer days. We are willing to test Sapphire Jewel with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
With her sparkling eyes, soft coat, and those big, expressive ears that perk right up, Clementine is a total heart-stealer. Clementine is the type of dog that will make you laugh with her silly toy-tossing antics, absolutely melt into you the second you sit down, and bring joy to every corner of your home. She is a certified lover girl who lives for affection—belly rubs, cuddles, gentle hugs, and being as close to her people as possible. If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who can be your adventure buddy by day and your snuggly, goofy couch companion by night, Clementine is the girl you’ve been waiting for. Watch Clementine’s personality shine in her video! https://youtu.be/4Be4_M07Gx4?si=Zte3Dgu1CdRISos9 At around 5 years old, this Australian Kelpie / German Shepherd mix (no promises!) has the perfect balance of playful energy and cozy cuddles. Her coat is incredibly unique, with the sweetest markings on her face and body—and of course, my personal favorite, those expressive little eyebrows that somehow manage to communicate her thoughts at all times. One look at her and you just know she’s something special. Clementine’s personality is as warm and sunny as her name suggests. She is confident, affectionate, and wonderfully silly in the most endearing way. She loves to dramatically flop over for belly rubs, wiggle around with happy kicks in the air, and then curl herself right into your lap like that was the plan all along. She adores her humans and thrives on being included in everyday life—whether that’s tossing toys around the yard, heading out for a peaceful walk, or snuggling up on the couch after a long day. Clementine prefers her walks during the quiet morning or evening hours when the world feels calm and serene. She craves zen, peaceful adventures—it’s her sacred time. A gentle hike or a stroll through a nature preserve? Absolute dream life. She’s food-motivated, toy-loving, incredibly smart, and very eager to please, which makes her super trainable too. Clementine is lucky enough to be in a foster home where she has truly shown what an incredible, dog-loving companion she is. She lives with both small and large dogs and absolutely adores them. Clementine is playful, joyful, and so genuinely happy to have canine friends around. She loves romping, chasing, and goofing around with dogs who want to play, but what really makes her special is how kind and respectful she is—if another dog isn’t in the mood, she totally understands and adjusts beautifully. She reads dog body language so well and truly just loves being around other dogs, whether that means playing hard or simply coexisting peacefully nearby. She would be over the moon to have a doggy friend in her forever home and would thrive with a canine sibling to share life, playtime, and companionship with. She also has human foster siblings (ages 12, 9, and 5!) and loves playing in the yard with them. She’s gentle, sweet, and super tolerant of crazy kiddo antics! Around the house, Clementine is extremely well-mannered, house-trained, and crate-trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night and will occasionally sneak in some extra snuggles by curling up in bed with her foster family. Clementine does believe kitty cats are meant for chasing (she’s wrong, but confident), so a feline-free home is best for her. When it comes to meeting other dogs, Clementine is a total social butterfly. She greets canine friends with confidence and excitement and has lovely manners when sharing treats and food, patiently waiting her turn. On leash, she can get excited when she spots another dog, but it’s purely from her enthusiasm to say hello. She heels nicely and responds very well to leash guidance, and with consistency, she’ll continue blossoming into a beautifully polite walking companion. Clementine’s ideal home would be one where she has space to stretch her legs—preferably with a yard she can finally call her own (she’s been dreaming of one for so long). She would love playtime, peaceful outings, and soaking up every ounce of affection her humans are willing to give. She’d be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all the love, but she would also thrive with a doggy sibling to play with. More than anything, Clementine just wants to be included—whether that’s serene adventures, a game of fetch, or curling up together for movie night. Clementine is truly special because she so effortlessly balances being playful and calm, goofy and gentle, silly and deeply loving. She’ll brighten your mornings with happy hops, make you laugh during the day with her goofy charm, and melt into you at night to remind you just how loved you are. Her foster family says it best: “Whoever ends up with her is going to get a great dog. She will love them so much.” Clementine is ready to share her love, loyalty, belly rub requests, and endless affection with her forever family. Story
Meet Dennis! 💛🐾 If sunshine could turn into a puppy, it would absolutely be Dennis. This seven-month-old rescue pup is one big ball of sweetness wrapped in soft tan-apricot fur and topped off with the goofiest puppy grin you’ve ever seen. We think he might be a German Shepherd/Lab mix — but with rescue, it’s always a bit of a mystery! Whatever he is, he’s 100% lovebug and 0% trouble. Dennis is the definition of a velcro dog. Once he knows you, he’s sticking by your side like your very own fuzzy little shadow. He adores people with his whole heart and has zero shame about showing it. Within minutes of meeting you, he’ll be rolling on his back for belly rubs, wagging his tail a million miles an hour, and trying his very best to cover your face in kisses. During his kid test, he smothered a sweet 7-year-old boy in so many kisses that everyone was laughing — it was pure puppy love overload. Because Dennis loves so big, older kids might be best for him, just so he doesn’t knock anyone over in his excitement to share all that affection! Watch his loving personality shine in his video! https://youtu.be/cZvZi9q87-w?si=sw57GLdXpLjUCIO5 He’s also a total sweetheart with other dogs. Dennis greets new dog friends calmly and kindly, and while he’s still learning how to play, he’s happiest being near them. Having a confident dog sibling would help him blossom even faster — he takes comfort from furry friends and tends to follow their lead. He’s just figuring out the world, and another dog could help show him how wonderful it is. And guess what? This boy is cat tolerant! When he met Biggie the cat, he was polite, curious for a moment, and then walked away like a little gentleman. That’s huge for a puppy his age! Dennis is still working on his leash skills and confidence with new environments. Right now, he can be a bit shy when things feel new or overwhelming. But once he warms up, he turns into a bouncy, happy, snuggly puppy who’s ready to explore and love life. He’ll thrive in a home with a yard where he can zoom, play, and build his confidence at his own pace. With patience, gentle encouragement, and maybe a dog friend to cheer him on, he’ll blossom into the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for. He’s still a puppy, so he’ll need a family ready to help him keep learning — but the reward will be worth it. Dennis is one of those once-in-a-lifetime kind of dogs who will love his people endlessly. He’s sweet, silly, and so full of heart that it almost spills out of him. Whether he’s cuddled up in your lap, trotting alongside his dog friends, or showering you in kisses, Dennis just wants to love and be loved. He’s got the biggest paws, the biggest heart, and the brightest future — all he needs now is a family to call his own. 💛 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
Apply for her today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/680a6339fe589ad4230a2f7b Questions?
Story
If you know and love Malinois mixes, you already know what makes them so special- it’s their intelligence, devotion, and unstoppable drive to bond deeply with their person. Wendy here embodies all of that and more. Take a look at her here then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/XY_xeGiaC4Q Estimated to be about 2½-years-old, Wendy weighs 55-pounds fully-grown, and we believe she is a Malinois mix but given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday. She is also stunning with a soft coat of mixed brown and black fur, a set of amazingly alert ears, and the warmest eyes that just land with connection. Wendy has a dedicated foster who has spent time and energy into ensuring Wendy is best prepared for life in her future home. It didn’t take long for her to show everyone just how much love, joy, and loyalty she has to give. She lives peacefully with three other dogs -two females and one male - and plays happily with them every day. At home, she’s cuddly and affectionate, the kind of dog who leans into you for pets and nudges your hand when she wants more. She’s also well-trained and wonderful on leash - walking politely at your side, calm and focused. Wendy even completed two months of professional training (circle back to her dedicated foster), which helped her master basic manners and develop her natural intelligence. Like many working breeds, she thrives with structure, exercise, and mental enrichment. Daily walks, a good run, or a game of fetch will keep her happiest -she’s athletic, agile, and loves having a purpose. Outside of the home, Wendy can feel unsure in new environments. Me too Wendy. My solution is to just keep it simple- it works like a charm. If you are looking for her to be your tag-along pal please know it is not part of her natural demeanor but she can learn. She’ll need a confident, experienced adopter who understands how to help a Malinois mix build trust and decompress in a new home. Once she bonds with you, she’ll be your shadow, your biggest fan, and your most loyal protector. Because of her strong bond with her people, she may have a little separation anxiety at first, hello to most any and all shepherd mixes- they miss their people, but with patience, routine, and reassurance, we do know she settles in beautifully. Wendy does best with the company of other dogs and would love to be the +1 to another medium-energy dog. Not only does it give her a much appreciated playmate but it helps her confidence when initially settling into a new space and routine. She did meet our house cat and was respectfully cautious but we are recommending a cat-free home currently based on her foster sharing she has tried to chase a street cat. If you are interested in Maggie and have cats we are happy to do a much more thorough cat-test to truly determine her limit. She’s wonderful with other dogs and adores her humans, including her foster family’s gentle 4 year old nephew. She likes him! Wendy is a truly special girl- affectionate, intuitive, intelligent, and loyal to the core. With someone who values her tender heart as much as her strength, she’s going to be extraordinary! Story
Feah here is a brilliant, bouncy, brainy, bestie in every sense. The moment I met her I thought, “Wow, this girl is sharp.” Then her foster started sharing more about her and I knew, without a doubt, she is one smart cookie. Give her video a quick watch -it will help you picture her in your home as you read the rest of her bio. https://youtu.be/t4LesdOQSRg Feah is estimated to be around 5–6 months old and is very likely a shepherd/Malinois mix but given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday. She is everything you’d expect from an intelligent working-breed youngster- quick-learning, playful, people-oriented, and always ready for whatever the day brings. In her foster home, Feah is house trained, crate trained, and comes preloaded with a handful of commands and tricks. Her brain is always “on,” but it does go into stand-by mode, and she thrives when you give her something to learn, solve, or navigate. She’s the type of dog who will make incredible strides with an adopter who enjoys teaching, bonding, and watching a clever dog grow into herself as your absolute dream side-kick. Feah’s natural play style is joyful and energetic- she loves to play fetch, romp, chase, and bounce with other dogs. I recently got to see her join a playgroup where she met a wide variety of new dogs. She played beautifully with a big male beefcake, a bouncy female, and a wild male malinois mix. She held her own, joining in play and hoping out when she got overwhelmed by a bigger, pushier dog who just pushed play to a more physical style that she didnt care for. But even then, her approach was very polite. Her social approach is friendly and curious, and with dogs who communicate clearly and play with intention rather than chaos, she shines. She would do wonderfully with a confident, balanced, medium-to-high energy dog who can handle her playful enthusiasm and help her learn dog etiquette as she matures. Like many smart pups, Feah feels excitement deeply. You can sometimes see it in stimulating new enviornments and she will express herself by barking but with guidance, she settles quickly. What matters most is that she responds extremely well to direction. A moment of guidance, a quick reset, and she’s back to checking in, using her brain, and making good choices! It is really impressive to watch! She’s still figuring out what to do with all her fading puppy feelings, but her willingness to listen makes her a dream for someone who enjoys shaping a young dog into something amazing. Feah is a dog with opinions, energy, and a brilliant brain. To set her up for success, she will do best with an active, engaged family. She’s not a couch-potato dog- she wants movement, training, an occasional swim and partnership. She is also best suited for a house over an apartment. She has great basic leash manners but a busy apartment setting may be too stimulation while she is learning how to navigate busier area, passing dogs, elevators, etc. No cats for Feah please. Her love of chase would not be appreciated by a feline roommate. She is an ideal dog for someone who enjoys guiding a smart dog. She’s a Malinois/shepherd-style thinker, quick, sensitive, and deeply bonded. If you cant already feel it, here is why you will love Feah! Imagine being adored, having a dog who will look at you with bright eyes and wait for the next direction. She will work hard for you, play hard with you, nap hard afterward, and learn more in six weeks than most dogs learn in six months. I cannot say enough about how beautifully balanced she is! All those smarts do not come at the expense of her loving side. She is affectionate and people-focused without being pushy or overwhelming. Feah is so ready to become someone’s “once-in-a-lifetime” companion, with you! Ready to welcome Feah home? Story
Fenyx is settling in well into his foster home. He's decompressing and learning the ropes of living in a home and sharing the space with other dogs. He is really more of a human dog rather than a playmate for dogs! He ignores dogs mostly and rather engages with his human. He can live with other dogs who aren't in his space much but he does need slow introductions and for his human to set good boundaries as he likes to claim his humans for himself. He is a soft dog and easily corrected but without structure, good boundaries/working for priveleges and consistency, he could develop bad habits.  He is super smart and wants to please, so we think he would be great for someone who likes to mold their pup into a great canine citizen! He is such a wiggle butt when learning, super eager, very puppy-like and high energy, but he does learn quickly and it's really fun to watch him grow and thrive! He might enjoy scent work as he does not let go of a scent when he catches it!  He is super quiet and clean in the crate! He does well on leash and learning a lot such as thresholds, eye contact, basic commands and house manners. He's being trained in German but once dogs learn the behavior it's not that hard to change the language.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application here: ADOPT MECompleted applications that match the need of the dog will be contacted as soon as possible.  We often post updates on the Ninja's Woof Haus Rescue Facebook Group: Join Here - there you can also search for posts on him: #NinjaRescuedFenyx If you have questions about this pet please contact us Here Additional information about Ninja's Woof Haus and all of our dogs for adoption can be located at our WEBSITE ##2607181##
