Story
Meet Eva Duffy! She is currently 3 months old, 13 pounds, and we think she may be a German Sheperd / Labrador Retriever mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Eva's video here: https://youtu.be/EYeKEL4DDIc Eva is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Eat, sleep, play, repeat. Eva is living her best puppy life right now - all she needs is YOU! Eva is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Eva's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/682e1f3572f90ff1a603d36f Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
**Fostered in Hillsboro, OR** Meet Annie — your very own gentle house bear. At 9 years old and 95 pounds of pure love, Annie is a German Shepherd mix who has fully embraced the good life. She’s got a big, soft body made for snuggling and a heart that melts for anyone willing to sit still and offer her a few loving pats. With her mellow nature and quiet presence, she’s basically a teddy bear come to life. Annie is the definition of an easy companion. She’s potty trained, crate trained (though she doesn’t need one), and knows a few basic commands. She doesn’t bark much and has excellent house manners. She’s wonderful with kids of all ages and will give them lots of kisses while they give her belly rubs. She's currently fostered with a 5 year old and 15 year old, and they both adore her old lady energy. Annie also loves other dogs and gets along great with all the dogs she meets. She will even play with them during her short bursts of energy. While she enjoys short walks around the block, Annie has arthritis and prefers to keep things low-key. No big hikes or marathons here—this bear is more into couch marathons and cozy car rides. She uses a ramp to get in and out of the car like a pro and loves watching the world go by from the backseat. Annie is currently on a little diet (bears love snacks, what can we say?) and would love a home that helps her stay healthy and happy in her golden years. She’s not asking for much—just a comfy spot to nap, kind hands to pet her, and someone to love her for exactly who she is. If you’re ready to share your home with the sweetest, fluffiest house bear around, Annie is waiting with open paws. Click the Application link below to make her dreams come true!! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/684cd1e92a2755407a012b31 Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Gus is striking looking and athletically built but all of that is built around a heart that is ready for his happily ever after story. Gus is a possibly a young Malinois/German Shepherd mix, estimated to be 2 years old, and weighing 43 lbs. Given he is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age but tell me you don’t see the resemblance. Let's circle back to his weight as well- 43 lbs! He is practically built like a sports car- sleek and light- better for aerodynamics. Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/Pd3dgI_ZMCc This boy has been so fortunate to be waiting for his adoption day in a loving foster home. He is soaking it up too! His fosters have shared that Gus came to them with his heart wide-open and ready for love, eager to make that loving-connection.They praise him on so many levels, and repeatedly mention how smart and affectionate he is. While in his foster home he was been learning/ practicing his best-boy manners, from house training to walking like a gentleman on leash- he gets gold-stars across the board. He has shown that he is incredibly responsive to structure and consistency, with a real love for training. You can see it though, he locks yes and there is no doubt you have his full attention. . Gus is currently living in an apartment and does well keeping it mellow when he is inside, but his true happy place is outside — exploring, sniffing, and stretching his legs. He’d love a home with a yard or an active person to go on adventures with. His fosters shared that he was a big hit recently with a group of 5-10 year old kids. He was a total gentleman — respectful, calm, and even paused playtime to join a sunbathing session next to one of the kids. When we spent time with Gus, he met a 4 year old and an 11 year old and he showed us the same. It was clear though he gravitated to the older of the two who was sitting and very open to loving on him and giving him a few treats. We understand that lot’s of people are looking for a one and only dog but worry they won’t be happy without a buddy. Im here to tell you- Gus won’t mind at all! He loves a good game of chase or a little wrestling moment but it isn’t the only thing that makes him happy. If being considered as a +1, Gus does best with calm dogs who give him space but also want to occasionally play. No matter the details, Gus will thrive in a home that can offer structure, mental stimulation, and outlets for his energy. He’s not a 100% couch potato — until after he has had the chance to move his body or work his brain, classic working-dog type. Gus is all heart and he is looking for someone to be his person and return that adoration. Is that you? He is meant to be an amazing dog and he can be YOUR amazing dog! Story
Take a second to sit back & relax, meet Molly Mae! Molly went on an exciting road trip with her foster brother last year in hopes to find her forever family. Although she hasn’t found them just yet, we know they are out there somewhere! On her trip, Molly traveled over 3,600 miles in a car. Woah!! Not only is she totally interesting and ready to share all of her world traveling stories with you, but she’s most of all looking for love. The first thing you will notice about this girl is how intelligent she is. Molly is also nothing short of an impressive performance dog with her sit, down, and touch skills. She also has amazing recall, and has mastered “heel” and “leave it” when she passes by other dogs on her daily walks. Molly is a big fan of her daily routine, and she hopes you will help her create a new one in her new home. The girl knows what she likes! Molly also loves a good game of fetch— she will bring the ball back and drop it! Calling all shepherd lovers, because this girls personality will need someone familiar with this breed! Is that you? Meet Molly girl here! https://youtu.be/HcIpX_lDnhQ?si=6Ig_X8KZRPgQYMf- Molly has so many good qualities to her. She is great in her crate, and best of all she is quiet in there too! She is calm and relaxed when you take her out. When you want her to go back in she just walks right in! She is very food motivated and loves a good treat (don’t we all!). She even let a 4 year old train her! She sat for him, and waited patiently for him to share some of his yummy cheese stick. Molly is not the jumping around ball of energy type, she is respectful of her surroundings and the people in it! Little tiny kids can be a little overwhelming with all of the bouncing and kid friendly chaos, so we believe Molly would do better with kids 7 years and up. Or children that will be able to understand her boundaries. Family coming over to visit with younger kids should not be a problem for her, this is just something she prefers! Mollys interest in treats would make for a super fun training session! Molly is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. Molly really likes to bond with her people. She is so loyal and loving, when her forever family comes to get her I have no doubt it will be the happiest day of her life! She would be happy to stay home and put around the backyard too! Speaking of homes and yards, this girl needs one! Having a structured area for her to play and mosey around in would be her dream. Molly does not need another dog in the home, but if she were to have one she prefers to be with more submissive, medium energy males that will participate in her similar play style. Molly can be a little rowdy with her best friend sometimes, but it’s all fun and games. Molly would be perfectly content being your one and only too! No kitty cats for this queen, they are just way too fun to chase and bark at. Her ideal family would be those that love some good quality time. We could totally see her hanging out at the backyard barbecue hoping you’ll slip her a little something under the table. When this girl falls for you, she falls hard. If only we could all be so lucky to have a best friend like her. Are you ready to add the perfect loyal companion to your life? Story
I spy with one little eye, our single eyed friend, Mr. Uno! See what I did there? ;) Uno is a special man who is looking to be the center of your world! He loves toys, cheese, and affection, and he is ready to find his forever home! We believe Uno is a shepherd mix who is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 65 pounds! He is a slender gentleman with the best lanky legs! Due to Uno being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. One thing is for sure, you will be the apple of Uno’s eye! Check out Uno in action here! https://youtu.be/UICbUgGo5fg?si=gQdeH39M6kj1sq72 Uno wants his animal family life like the number of his eyes, a party of one. Uno is a bit of an attention hog in the very best way. He needs a home where he can be the only pet and completely soak in all of the love his family has to offer. Uno will thrive best in a home with no other dogs or cats. He likes the independent life. If there is a couch to cuddle on, he wants to be the only dog up there receiving all of the affection! Our staff couldn’t help but brag on Uno when they would spend time with him! Everyone always had one thing in common to say about him… “he is going to be such a good family dog!” Uno did so well hanging out with our clinic director’s daughter who is 10. He was gentle taking treats from her and just wanted to be pet and loved on. We consider Uno to be kid friendly and would do well in a home with older children who understand how to enrich bigger dogs. Uno is a large boy with longgg legs! He will thrive best in a home with a yard over an apartment lifestyle. He loves to be outside and I can see him living his best life gliding around the yard and soaking in all of the sun rays! Story
This girl is a rescue favorite and we are going to show you the many ways that Matilda Jane will change and brighten your life. Here's the timeline of what's about to happen when you watch Matilda's adoption video and read her bio. Within the first 5 seconds of watching her video, you're going to be in love, next you're going to read her bio and find that everything about her is perfect for you, then you're going to be filling out application, signing that dotted line and counting down the seconds until she is with you in your home making you the happiest you have ever been. We're aren't trying to say that we can predict the future but it's a pretty safe bet that these series of events will absolutely happen. Matilda has one of the sweetest and gentlest of souls you will have ever been so lucky to experience. This girl is perfection; she’s soft, she’s gentle and she has an innocent presence that will keep your home feeling warm and bright every day. Watch her video and fall in love with this sweet and gentle little lady: https://youtu.be/ER6BaB_ZNZg?si=ggDLQQJPsDWSj4K8 We believe Matilda Jane is GSD possibly even Anatolian Shepherd mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 52 lbs and has the cutest little docked tail. Don't let the pictures fool you or the possible "Anatolian Shepherd" breed guess fool you, she is little! You know how there is an "itty bitty pittie" club, well Matilda would fall into the "itty bitty shepherd" club if there was one. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Matilda is very dog friendly and loves spending time with dogs. She has yet to meet a dog that does not love her or trust her! Because she is such a peacemaker and calm natured we are able to use her to be with dogs who need the company of another dog to open up to people, or for dogs who have never been around dogs before. They find so much comfort in her and she finds comfort in them as well. You see these dogs immediately relax and often sit as close to her as possible and take naps. Matilda always lovingly welcomes them. Matilda is even a best friend to your small dogs too! She is so gentle and tolerant and always mindful of the size differences. She is so good at sharing toys, treats, bed, and does great tandem walking with dogs. There is just so much to love about her. As repetitive as all this will continue to sound, what makes it all special is the way that Matilda shows wisdom and a reassurance that everyone is safe and well. It is something quite hard to explain. Matilda has also spent time with our house cat Biggie. He loves her too because she doesn’t bother him, doesn't mind when he's playing with her leash, isn't phased when he's jumping around playing with his toys, and doing whatever his heart desires. They just coexist and they do a great job too! If your home is your sanctuary, Matilda will fit right in. She is still learning about all of the luxuries of life with loving humans, and she’s loving it all so far. Especially beds and will lay snuggled up in bed for hours if you let her. Matilda is very quiet, almost to the point to where you forget she is even there. If you work from home she would make a great work from home companion because she is so calm and has great house manners. She'll be happily snuggled up on the couch or bed and will sometimes even come up and rest her head on your lap gently nuzzling into you for pets. Matilda's calm and quiet nature makes her perfect for those families that enjoy relaxing at home and want a companion to enjoy those moments with. She is also crate and house trained and walks easily in her crate and settles nicely for a nap time. Matilda will need a home with lots of patience and love to offer her while she settles and acclimates to your home. She can handle the hustle and bustle of a household after getting to know everyone. She never adds to that fun energy either, she is our Switzerland! She just watches. If you like people watching, so does Matilda. Haha, that is the best way to describe how she acts when she goes to a new environment. She will lay and watch as things around her happen, observing and soaking everything in. You may think not a lot is happening but by day three, she is sitting and observing and soaking it all in! Then she moves to standing and baby steps! Then she moves to walking, roaming, and exploring. Before you know it, she has her favorite spots, knows her routine, her favorite dog and/or human. She would love a big backyard to sniff and explore in. We believe she would be happier in the suburbs or countryside, as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the city. We are willing to test Matilda Jane with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
Smart, loyal, and adventure ready on top of everything else. Questions?
He also does so well in his crate! He is quiet and knows when it is time to settle down. Uno is a one of a kind guy! It’s not everyday you get the chance to adopt a one eyed wonderboy! If you are looking for a friend to spend your days with, Uno is your guy! Uno is ready to be your one and only! Interested?
Story
Angelina the ballerina is her name and she is as sweet as the name makes her sound. She is a gentle girl with a soft side for people and a budding love for toys. Her favorite toy? Hmmm… a tennis ball or stuffie are the top contenders but she wants to try them all before giving you her final decision. Take a look at her in action then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/ykeiiKruv10 Angelina is estimated to be around 6 months old and she currently weighs an absolutely adorable 21 lbs. She may be a shepherd mix but in rescue both age and breed are details we cannot guarantee. She isn’t full-grown yet but we anticipate she will be somewhere near 50lbs as an adult. Angelina has the slightest bit of shyness in new environments, she is young after all so it is understandable. Angelina loves the company of a confident dog and is an ideal +1 pal if you are here looking for a buddy for your current dog. When introduced to new dogs she a touch shy but that quickly melted into fun. Within five minutes she was playing chase and bouncing around as happy-go-lucky as could be. Angelina has solid basic leash skills and is very attentive, pair that with her age and she is prime for learning and training. The favorite time I spent with Angelina was once we were inside where she warmed up to a group of people who had all come to visit her. She played with a tennis ball, greeted everyone, and happily enjoyed some treats. While inside we did get to hear her “voice.” Whether she is just talkative or was responding to a dog outside, her vocal side means apartment life isn’t for her. Basically, she would love a home with a yard where she can sniff around, sunbathe, and enjoy her favorite toys without the busy nature or noise complaints of apartment life. This girl is all heart and has so much love to give. With a little patience and a lot of love, Angelina is going to be the loyal, fun-loving companion dreams are made of! Questions? Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
