Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi I'm Tater Tot!  I'm a gorgeous sweet quiet little girl who is learning about the world.  When I first came here everything was scary, but I was still curious so I'd observe from a safe spot.  It didn't take long though and I decided to take a chance and did my best to make friends with the other doggies in my foster home.  My submissive manner and my little body wiggles quickly won them over.  Now I run and play with them and we do zoomies together!  When I'm with them my tail is always wagging showing how happy I am.  I will need a doggie sibling in my future home since they make me feel more confident and happy.  I also hope they will cuddle with me for naps.  Dog beds are fine for naps, but a buddy is even better! I love all size dogs from small to big and will happily play with them all! I am still a bit shy with people.  I'm learning that they are nice though too.  I will give little finger kisses to my foster mom, but don't quite go to her asking for pets yet.  I do quickly settle in though when she picks me up and we sit on the couch for cuddles.  I know I'm safe and I quickly fall asleep in her lap and stretch out and dream my puppy dreams.  I've been watching the other dogs with interest as they play with toys and they certainly are having fun. I've just started to sniff them and bring them into my bed and give soft toys little nibbles and nudges. Mom says I'm a fast learner though so I'll be playing with them in no time.  Speaking of being a fast learner, I am kennel trained and I'm doing great at potty training.  I go outside on a leash and I potty in the yard.  I don't need a fence, but I do request a quiet little yard so I can get my business done.  Living on a busy street our loud area will be too scary for me on a leash, so a fenced in yard would then be needed.  I'm just beginning to follow my mom and foster siblings into the house on leash since the leash was a scary thing at first.  With some more practice mom says our next step will be going on a little walk so I can be brave and explore.  I'm already going up and down the 3 stairs here like a pro so I bet I conquer that walk thing quick too!  I haven't met any kids or kitties yet.  I'm sweet at pie though so I'm sure I'll be fine, but little kids might be a bit overwhelming at first with their loud noises and fast movements. If you have love in your heart to share with a sweet little girl like me, I'll be here waiting. I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. You might say I’m a little guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. At just two years old, I’ve been known to charm the socks off anyone I meet, showering them with kisses and soaking up all the attention I can get. I’m always on the move, whether I’m playing with toys, rolling around, or just keeping an eye on what’s happening around me. Now, I’ve got a confession to make—I’ve got a bit of a thing for chasing cats. Yep, you heard that right. If there’s a cat around, you can bet I’ll be barking up a storm, ready to give that feline friend a run for their money. So, if you’ve got a kitty at home, I might not be the best fit for you. But don’t worry, I’m not all bark and no bite! I love playing with people and other dogs, especially if it involves a game of fetch or a good chew on a bully stick or yak cheese bone. And while I’m pretty good with commands like sit and come, I’m still working on my house training, so I’ll need a little extra patience and reinforcement in that department. Now, about that fenced yard situation—I love having the freedom to run around and explore, but I’m small enough to squeeze through some fences if the spacing is too wide. So, a secure yard or a leash and harness combo would be ideal for me. But despite my penchant for mischief and cat-chasing, I promise I’m all love and cuddles.
