Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hello, my name is Mollie! I have a very calm and loving personality. My foster mom says that I am the easiest foster she’s ever had. I currently live with three resident dogs, and we cohabitate very well because we all respect each other’s space. Personal space is very important to me. While I don’t mind sharing my home with other dogs, I prefer to observe from afar rather than being in the middle of the action. I have a favorite comfy chair where I spend most of my time observing my surroundings, and I even sleep there through the night—without a peep, I might add! I am fully potty trained and enjoy being outdoors, so getting me out to potty, even in the cold and snow, is never a problem. I also love going on walks, but it’s very important for my future family to understand the need to advocate for my personal space from other pets during walks. I guess you could say I’m a bit overcautious, but feeling safe and supported is very important to me. There are a couple of medical details to know about me. I have a condition called "dry eye," which requires lifelong medication to keep my eyes lubricated. The medication comes in the form of a gel that’s applied to my eyes. I’m very used to it and sit still like a good girl while it’s administered. Additionally, I’m missing all my teeth except for one, so I need to be on a soft food diet. Sometimes I get adventurous and sneak a little kibble from my fur siblings’ bowls, but to make sure I get the nutrients I need, I must have two full meals a day of soft food. If you’re looking for a super cute, affectionate, and extremely independent little girl, consider yourself lucky because I am the full package. I can’t wait to meet you and spend our best days together. XO, Mollie Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Mollie is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
