I discovered the thing I love most is sitting next to my favorite person and will keep a sharp eye them where ever they go. Admittedly, I still get a little nervous and shy when it comes to meeting new people and going out in public but I warm up quickly to anyone who wants to say “hi”! I haven’t quite figured out what the hub-bub about toys is for.  Maybe with time, I’ll get it but for now, I’m ok with the snuggles. I am learning to be more and more brave everyday! I am still a bit skittish when there is lots of commotion, thunderstorms or loud noises. Also, I haven’t perfected my leash skills, so do require a fenced yard in my forever home. My people said that I am working on going potty on a leash and will need to keep practicing leash walking in my forever home. We are also working on potty training, and when kept on a schedule I do ok! I’m Harvey, a one-year-old King Charles Cavalier, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home. Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a happy-go-lucky guy who absolutely loves to cuddle. There’s nothing better than snuggling up next to my favorite human after a day of fun. Speaking of fun, I adore playing with all kinds of stuffed toys, and I’m always up for a good game of fetch or tug of war. I also get the occasional zoomies, which are a blast! At home, I’m super chill. My foster family works from home, so I’ve gotten pretty good at keeping myself entertained, whether it’s playing with toys or just hanging out. I haven’t been crated much when they’ve had to step out, and I’ve been a good boy—just the occasional accident here and there as I’m still working on my potty training. But I promise I’m trying my best! A fenced yard is required in my forever home. I’m still learning how to walk on a leash and getting better every day, but I do need a bit more practice. I’m great with other dogs and I’m even respectful of cats! Having a doggy friend in my new home is required as I will learn a lot from a friend. One thing to know is that I can be a little shy around men at first. Give me a little time, and I’ll warm up. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my love for treats—especially homemade pumpkin ones! I'm 3 years old and weigh about 22 pounds, just the right size for cozy snuggles. I absolutely adore human touch and will happily melt into your arms for a good cuddle session. It takes me a little time to warm up when approached too quickly, but every day, I'm getting more comfortable and confident. At home, I've mastered the art of climbing stairs, especially the ones leading to the window seat and bed. I love stealing socks and clothes to chew on, so I’d appreciate having some good toys around to keep me occupied. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, especially my foster siblings, and I would love to have a furry friend in my forever home to keep teaching me the ropes. I'm still learning about potty training, but I do great when kept on a tight schedule. Crate training? Nailed it! I sleep peacefully through the night in my crate, though I wouldn’t mind a spot in your bed if you’re up for it. There are so many new things in a home that I am experiencing. I have started barking at the TV – I’m here to protect you … or something – hee hee.   My favorite things? Well, I love a good game of fetch with my toys, belly rubs, and snuggling close under your chin. Oh, and blowing bubbles—chasing them outside is the best! I’m a quiet, shy girl, but once I warm up, I love to explore and be with my people and doggy friends. Whether it's investigating every room in the house or exploring the backyard, I’m always curious and on the move. I love cuddling up near you on the couch or bed and rolling over for belly rubs. Chin scratches and ear pets are my favorite! I enjoy running around the yard with my dog friends and snacking on freeze-dried beef liver, fruits, and veggies. While I haven’t started playing with toys yet, I love Kongs, bones, and lick mats. I watch my foster sibling fetch, so maybe one day I’ll join in! I’m doing great with potty training and just need a few scheduled trips outside. I sleep quietly in my crate at night, though I’d much prefer to snuggle up with my people in bed. When it’s time to crate up, just say “crate,” and I’ll walk right in! We are working hard on leash training, so if you promise to keep practicing, I don't need a fenced yard in my forever hone.
