You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application.The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Hello we are 2 fun loving little girls who had to start over.  Our family didn't have a lot of time to spare for us so we were crated a lot.  Our dad decided we deserved better so he brought us to the ranch.  At first we didn't know what was going on but then we made friends with the Director and this place is REALLY cool!!!  We NEVER have to be in a crate and we are never alone!!  There are always plenty of humans around and lots of fur friends and we have this big fenced in field that we LOVE!!!  We like to run and play ALL day!  We don't leave each other so the Director said not to worry she would NEVER split us up and she will make sure we only go to someone with a fenced yard that will enjoy having us running around :)If you think you might be a good fit fill out an application and if we think we should meet you we will be in touch for a 'date' :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Meet Chloe!!! Chloe is a 9-month-old Cavachon with lots of cuddles to give! This 10-pound cutie can melt your heart when she looks at you with her one brown and one blue eye. This puppy loves her toys! She loves fetching balls and proudly stealing kitchen towels from the rack. She also loves snuggling on the couch next to her foster parents. She already knows Sit and Shake commands, and she is working on next steps. She's a little shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly. She plays well with other small dogs, but she hasn't been exposed to large dogs or cats. We feel she would do best in a home with older children or dog savvy children due to her small size. Since she is still working on leash training, a fenced-in yard is recommended but not required. She is still working on crate training during the day, and lets you know she's getting lonely after an hour or so. Other than that, she is very quiet and very rarely barks. She sleeps through the night in her crate next to her foster parent's bed and gets let out into the yard to do her business. She is newly house broken, but she has watchful eyes on her at all times (regression is common when changing environments). Chloe is spayed, UTD on vaccines, preventatives and is microchipped. Due to her breed, she will need regular grooming and a family committed to brushing her on a regular basis as well. Shedding is almost non-existent. Chloe is being fostered near Lititz. Any potential adopters will need to be willing to travel to this area for a meet and greet. All resident pups are also required to come to the meet and greet. Say hello to Miss Bellamy. What a sweetheart Bellamy is! She's a 15 pound 5-year old lovable and affectionate Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescued from a commercial breeder and a life of breeding. She is a great companion who loves comfort and attention. Her fondness for watching TV shows with dogs and snuggling up on the sofa is adorable! Her foster mom is working on leash training with her, and using potty pads in the house is a good solution for now. Bellamy's friendly nature and eagerness to approach other dogs are wonderful traits, and her beauty is clearly matched by her charming personality. Those big eyes are irresistible! It's no wonder she's been able to convince her foster mom to let her sleep outside of her crate. Overall, Bellamy is a delightful and loving companion who will make a wonderful addition to a family who appreciates her laid-back and affectionate nature. Bellamy is good with kids and other dogs.
