You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Tensley and Teddy are a bonded pair who share a special connection and must be adopted together. They are incredibly sweet, affectionate dogs who love attention and being close to their people. Friendly and easygoing, they get along well with other dogs and are also cat friendly. Their forever home will need a securely fenced yard where they can safely enjoy time together. REQUIRES- Fenced YardVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Ace is an incredibly sweet boy who loves staying close to his people. After having surgery on his leg, Ace needs a family that will be careful not to over-walk him so his leg stays healthy and comfortable :) While he isn’t very playful with other dogs, he does enjoy having canine companionship, so another dog in the home is a must!  Ace likes balls and could spend all day carrying them around if he could :) He also enjoys wandering and exploring outside, so a fenced yard is a must for him. Ace is a gentle boy who will happily stay by your side wherever you go! :) REQUIREMENTS:  Fenced Yard, Another dog his size Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Oliver, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I do have a grade 3 of 4 heart murmur. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is a courtesy posting. Please call 410-627-6563 for information on fostering or adopting Truman. At 11 pounds and 1 1/2 years old this sweet boy is in need of a soft place to land. Poor little Truman was found running scared through the streets of Baltimore City trying to survive. Kids were throwing cans and bricks at him. Although he is improving in his loving foster home, his previous life has left him somewhat fearful and he will require someone with previous dog experience and a lot of patience. He gains comfort from other dogs and will need a dog companion in his new home as well as a physically fenced yard. Can anyone help this little survivor?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 8, 2026, 2:11 pm

Lilac Female Avail 5/2's Story Description of the Pet **Applicant Requirements:** -Be at least 21 years of age and the Homeowner or Rentee. -Households with children under 8 years of age, must have a physical fence attached to the home or an electric/invisible fence. However, there are other instances when a fence may be required for the safety of the dog or puppy. Name: Lilac Age: 5 years DOB: 12/10/20 Weight: 29 lbs Crate-trained: Yes PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website greenmorerescue.org. Please read dog's bio carefully before applying. Meet Lilac Lilac is a 5-year-old sweetheart with a gentle, happy spirit and a brand-new world to discover. She was surrendered by Amish breeders after not producing viable puppies and spent her entire life in a cage, so she is just now learning what it means to be a loved companion and family dog. Despite her past, Lilac is a joyful little girl who adores dogs, kids, and all people. She is friendly, social, and eager to connect with the world around her. Everything is new to her—she is still learning how to walk properly on a leash and is discovering toys for the very first time. She’s figuring out what to do with them, but her curiosity and playful nature are starting to shine through. One of her favorite things so far is zooming happily around the yard, finally getting to stretch her legs and feel free. Lilac has a medium energy level and would thrive in a loving, patient home that continues to show her the joys of everyday life. Because she is still adjusting and learning, a fenced yard is recommended in homes with younger children to help her feel safe and supported as she settles in. Lilac is a happy, resilient girl who is just beginning her journey as a cherished family member. With kindness and patience, she’s going to blossom beautifully. Adoption donation is $550 cash, $575 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. There is a refundable $75.00 neuter/spay deposit. Another great reason to adopt form Greenmore….. Greenmore Rescue preforms the 4dx blood test on ALL of our adult dogs FREE OF CHARGE to adopters! This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tick or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed. Your Adoption Counselor will review any findings with you and we will provide all medical records, along with any medication the dog may need at the time of adoption. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. This pet is being offered by Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue, 246 Clonmell Upland Road, West Grove PA 19390 - PA Shelter # 8755
