Story
Meet Holly – A Mellow, Loving Companion Holly is a gentle, easygoing soul who wants nothing more than to be near her person. Estimated to be around 6–7 years old, she has a calm and affectionate nature that makes her the perfect companion for a peaceful home. Holly enjoys her daily walks and does well going potty while out and about. Her foster takes her out four times a day to help her stay on routine, as they don’t have a fenced yard—but she’s very cooperative and walks beautifully on leash. She’s a friendly girl who loves meeting people and is especially sweet with children. At night, Holly sleeps soundly in her kennel from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. and adjusts easily to a consistent schedule. She’s a quiet, loyal dog who just wants to be close by and share in your day-to-day life. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate pup who thrives on love and companionship, Holly could be the perfect addition to your home.

Story
Meet Libby! Libby is a total cuddlebug who thrives on human connection and would love a home where she can soak up all the attention. She’d do best as the only dog in a home with a present, engaged family—she truly shines when she’s with her people. While she tolerates other dogs, she much prefers the company of humans. Libby isn’t a fan of the leash and would rather spend her days snuggled up next to you than out on long walks. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be near you, Libby may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Gerard – The Gentle Snuggler with a Curious Heart Gerard may be smaller than his brother, but he has just as much love to give – maybe even more! This sweet little guy is a soft, observant soul who prefers taking it all in before diving into the action. He’s still building confidence day by day, but one thing is already clear: Gerard is a world-class snuggler who thrives on closeness and affection. He loves to curl up in a warm lap after a play session, and if you're the type who enjoys a quiet companion by your side, Gerard just might be your perfect match. He’s quite attached to both people and his brother, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around frequently to help him feel safe and connected. Gerard is doing great with his playpen at night, especially when he has his brother nearby, and he’s already showing off how clever he is – he’s mastered “sit” like a pro and is making excellent progress on potty training with a consistent routine. He also enjoys exploring the backyard and playing gently with the older, bigger dogs in his foster home. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, loving, and loyal companion who will blossom in a calm and nurturing home, Gerard is ready to steal your heart. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Tiny is a small Australian Shepard/Cavalier mix looking for his forever home. This little boy was rescued from a situation where he was fending for himself most of the time. He has adjusted very quickly to the good life of a stable environment where he gets to be taken care of, loved and feel safe. He does well with people and other dogs but his foster feels he would be ideal as a single dog with a couple or single person. He is sweet and cuddly. He loves belly rubs. He wants to be with his person always! We expect him to be a little shadow to whoever adopts him. With his small size (about 8 lbs) you can easily take him everywhere with you! He is a smart boy who is quickly learning leash skills and good manners. If you’re looking for a compact, constant companion, Tiny is a great guy!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  **Brad and Scout: Bonded Brothers**   *King Charles Cavalier-Dachshund-Chihuahua Mix* **Background**   Brad and Scout are a unique pair of 5-year-old mixes of Cavalier King Charles, Dachshund, and Chihuahua rescued during a hoarding raid. They are the only two remaining from their previous family and seek a forever home together. It is crucial for their well-being that they stay together, as they have formed a special bond. **What Brad and Scout Need**   Brad and Scout are not just looking for a home; they are searching for best friends. With the right amount of love and patience, you will gain two very loving and devoted companions. They are young and have many years ahead of them to be your loyal friends.  Please note that Brad and Scout require an ADULT-only home to ensure they receive the appropriate care and attention.  Brad is outgoing and loves sleeping with you at night, burying himself under the covers, and falling asleep in your arms or lap. He is very affectionate with the person he bonds with and wants to cuddle and be by your side wherever you go. On the other hand, Scout is more cautious and shy and will need time to come around independently. He enjoys being talked to and will take treats from your hand. Once he is out of the busy, often chaotic rescue environment and in a warm and loving home, we believe he will begin to open up with his new family.  Brad has a vibrant personality. Although he may be initially shy and reticent, he will start to trust you once he realizes you are a friend. After spending the night with you, he will become your new best friend by morning. Brad loves to follow you everywhere, and Scout will follow him, as he also wishes to feel loved and petted, even if he is too shy to seek it out. **How To Meet and Adopt**   Brad and Scout have been switched to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a healthy, specifically tailored canine feeding plan. We have provided them with the best care possible and will continue to support their new owners with guidance on their diet and nutrition. To apply to adopt Brad and Scout, there is a special bonded pup adoption fee of $595.00. All funds will cover medical expenses and help rescue more dogs.    Please fill out the online application form using the following link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we can get to know you and make the best match.                                               https :// rompinpawsrescue.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2025, 6:20 pm

Meet Redmond and Ryan! These adorable brothers are a unique mix of cocker spaniel and (most likely) chihuahua, and they’ve inherited the best traits from both sides! At about 5 months old, they were found wandering with their mom, Farrah, and are now settling into life in a loving foster home.Redmond is the bigger brother at around 13 pounds, while little Ryan is just 5.5 pounds—but don’t let his size fool you, he’s full of spunk! Both boys have short coats and sweet spaniel features, and they’re playful, affectionate, and have wonderful temperaments. They’re already thriving in foster care and can’t wait to find forever families of their own. Story
Meet Ryan!Ryan is a one-of-a-kind pup with a cocker spaniel mama and (likely) a chihuahua dad—talk about a dynamic duo! At about 5 months old and just 5.5 pounds, this tiny guy was found wandering with his mom and brother, and he’s now learning what love and comfort feel like in his foster home.Don’t let his size fool you—Ryan is full of personality! He’s got the playful energy of a puppy, the affectionate nature of a lap dog, and the determination of a one-dog pest control service. That’s right—Ryan is an exterminator. Spiders, flies, cockroaches, June bugs—none of them stand a chance when he’s on duty. He spots it, he chases it, he wins. With his adorable spaniel features, short coat, and easygoing temperament, Ryan is the perfect mix of cute and courageous. He’s thriving in foster care and would love to find a forever home where he can play, snuggle, and continue his crusade against creepy crawlies.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
