Story
I've had Shady since he was a puppy so he's approx 3years old. I was able to work from home at the time but since back to work and gone 10-12 hrs a day. He is house trained, neutered and came micro chipped. He is very hyper and impulsive so will need a owner who can give him PLENTY of attention. He will need a fenced yard and/or lots of space to run and burn off that energy. Does well with kids and other dogs. Probably not good with cats. I believe he can be easily trainable to deter those impulse runs but I just dont have the time. He is very sneaky and has chewed up dozens of panties...so ladies watch out. He Loves watching like a hawk for ANY table scraps. Please give him LOTS of space to run and SPOIL him with the time and attention that I can unfortunately no longer provide.

Story
**Meet Ted!** Ted is a 3-year-old, 14-pound little guy who has been quietly learning that the world isn't quite as scary as he once thought. Like many breeder-release dogs, Ted didn't have much experience with normal family life before coming into rescue. Because of that, he is still a very fearful dog who needs a patient adopter willing to let him move at his own pace. Ted is not looking for a busy household or lots of new adventures. His perfect home is a calm, quiet one with a secure fenced yard, no children, and a female adopter who understands that trust is earned slowly. The good news? Once Ted trusts you, his sweet personality shines through. His foster mom has watched him transform from a dog who wanted to disappear into one who happily snuggles on the couch, seeks out affection, and enjoys spending time with the people he knows. He has learned to trust his foster mom and her adult daughter when she visits, and he absolutely loves to curl up with the family's dog. Ted is playful with other dogs and would likely benefit from a confident canine companion who can help show him that life is good. While another dog is not required, it would be a wonderful bonus for Ted. One of Ted's most endearing qualities is his gentle nature. He is especially sweet and respectful with the senior citizens who visit the home and enjoys quietly being part of their company. Ted does best when his world stays small and predictable. He isn't the type of dog who will thrive going everywhere with his family or meeting lots of new people. Instead, he's looking for someone who will appreciate the quiet victories: a tail wag, a cuddle on the couch, choosing to stay close instead of hiding, and the trust that grows a little more each day. Potty training is still a work in progress, and Ted currently wears a belly band while he continues learning. Ted may never be the life of the party, but for the right person, he will be a deeply rewarding companion. His foster mom adores him, and we know there is someone out there who will love him just as much. If you believe the best relationships are built on patience, understanding, and celebrating the little things, Ted may be the perfect match for you. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250. Story
🚨 FEMALE-ONLY HOME. NO MEN. 🚨Please do not apply unless your home has no men. Moosh Moosh is a retired puppy mill survivor who experienced severe abuse. She is incredibly loving with women but is terrified of men. Their presence sends her into a state of panic, and it isn’t fair to ask her to live with that fear. She is a tiny, sweet mini Poodle who would happily spend all day curled up in your lap and sleeps at the foot of the bed every night. She’s dog-door trained, has excellent house manners, and does well with other dogs. She currently takes Prozac to help manage her anxiety and requires a sedative for grooming. She has not been around young children, but given her history and anxious temperament, we’re looking for an adult home. Her dream home is with a single woman or an all-female household where she can finally relax and feel safe. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but our household is almost entirely men.

Story
We got Joey from Wayside Waifs over a year ago. He is 17 months old. He is very active, but gets hot easily. He growls when he plays and that has been scary for our kiddos. He can be very sweet and would be a great pet for a calm 2 person family without kids and with another dog. He does get bored easily, but he is not a chewer. He LOVES to fetch!!! It really kills me to rehome him, but my kiddos are scared of him and he needs a better home with someone where he is loved more than we can give him right now.
