Meet Fatima! Fatima is a sweet little older lady who is looking for a cozy place to live out the rest of her life. Fatima was found as a stray and brought to us by our friends over at TJO. With Fatima being found as a stray we do not have any history on her but we can tell you that she is very social, she loves to run around, and she loves to greet new people. Fatima is going to need some extra time and patience while she is getting adjusted into her new home and to her new people, given that time she will surely be your new best friend! Fatima has some age related changes we would like to talk to you more about before adoption. Come down to meet Fatima, she is very ready to meet you! Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
