Story
Violet was kept by my daughter to use to breed. However, due to our busy schedule we just dont have time for this little girl. She loves to be the princess and gets along with other dogs, but we feel she would be best suited in a quieter home. She would also due best with older children maybe 10 and up. Little little kids make her nervous. She is a beautiful pup with spunky and sweet demeanor just not the right fit for our busy busy household. Great for older family or retired person. would like to hand out inside on the couch all day with a walk here or there. She is UTD but will need to be spayed. Very healthy unfurnished cavapoo f1b. Scoop her up! Will be under 15 lbs.

These pups are in Bristol, Connecticut too!

Story
Meet Casper, a ~5 year old neutered male mini poodle/shih tzu mix, weighing about 22 lbs! He is a sweet boy who can be shy at first and came to us being fearful/aggressive to strangers. He wants desperately to form connections with people (and he does once you give him space and let him come to you on his own terms!), but he is very fearful and he has learned that behaving in an aggressive manner = the scary thing goes away.  His incredible foster home has spent several months working with him and training him to trust and be loved, but he will need a patient adopter willing to continue working with him so he doesn't lose all of the amazing progress he's made. He DOES have the capacity to trust and once he does, he is an absolute LOVE and a very sweet boy.  Casper is good with other dogs after a proper introduction (he does best with similar sized dogs). He is good with people once he has gotten to know them and trusts them, but would do best in a child-free home. He has not been cat tested, but we feel he would probably do ok with cats. Casper's ideal home would be one with a quiet, calm environment. From Casper's current foster: "Casper is truly growing everyday. He is protective when strangers come into the house but we have been working on this. As far as my family in my house, he is a complete love. Loves to play, lay on your lap and be around his people. He is so gentle and sweet. I just love this guy. He is amazing with my boys. Has welcomed other foster puppies into the home with no problems. He is going to be an amazing dog for the right people. He just wants to be loved and feel safe. So sad he had a rough start but he is such a joy to have." Casper is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2207805##

Story
**This dog is eligible for the April Adopt-a-Thon promo! Listed adoption fee will be reduced by $200 for all eligible dogs adopted by 4/30/25.** Hello! My name is Pevine, but my friends call me "Sweet P!" I'm part of the Highway 68 litter: Genesis, Livingston, Miller, Lantana, Maryetta, Pomona, and Pevine! My brother (Livingston) completed a DNA test, and the results came back as 54% poodle, 12% Australian Cattle Dog, and 10% German Shepherd (see full results in photos). All of the pups in my litter have scruffy coats except for my brother, Miller. We'll probably grow the be medium sized dogs.  These sweet babies were found abandoned in a tote bag on the side of the road in East TN when they were just a few days old They were named after roads in the area and dubbed the Highway 68 litter. Pevine is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. She is a super sweet, loving girl who is so deserving of a furever home of her own (hence the nickname Sweet P)!  She is medically up to date (age appropriate) and mostly housebroken (doing very well!). Apply to meet this sweet girl today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Story
Meet Wayne, a handsome 1.5 year old neutered male standard poodle, weighing approx 50 lbs!  Wayne was surrendered to Paws Rescue League (through no fault of his own) when his owner was no longer able to care for him. His family made sure that he went to a rescue, to be certain Wayne would find his PAWFECT family!  When he came to PRL he had missed his grooming appointment due to family events, he definitely played hard and he was in desperate need of a good trim!  Fast forward to today, and just LOOK at him now!   Although his new haircut does make him look quite proper, Wayne is a fun loving guy and is sure to bring lots of love and joy to his new family. Wayne is a sweet boy who gets along great with other dogs, people, and kids! He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Fun fact about Wayne: he is fascinated by the TV!   He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweet boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
