Story
Cooper's beloved owner passed away unexpectedly in April 2026, leaving behind Cooper and his sweet senior brother, Charlie. Their closest family members live in another state and, due to serious health issues of their own, are unable to take the dogs. Since April, several caring neighbors have stepped in to look after them. Unfortunately, they can no longer remain in their current home, as the family plans to sell the house. Cooper is a 12-year-old Poodle mix weighing 40 pounds. He is fully house-trained, neutered, and has a clean bill of health. He walks well on a leash, loves treats, and is comfortable around children. Cooper is a gentle, well-mannered companion looking for a loving new home where he can spend his golden years. Cooper lives in Durham NC

Story
Robi is a sweet, loving, and playful 1-year-old mixed-breed pupper. It truly breaks my heart that I have to rehome Robi, as he's one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. Unfortunately I have to go out of town regularly to deal with a family member's health issues, and Robi needs more care and attention than I can currently provide. I adopted him in November 2025 from a shelter, and as of July 2026, he's 1 year old. He is very friendly, good-natured, and generally well-behaved, but he's very energetic and tends to get very excitable around other dogs, though he's not aggressive. He has completed basic obedience training and been to a few sessions with a canine behavioral therapist, but he needs a human who can provide him with more space and exercise than I'm able to give at the moment.

Story
Meelo is an almost 2 year old pup with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. He's incredibly affectionate with his people and loves being wherever the action is. He's crate trained, house trained, and knows a number of basic commands. Like many adolescent dogs, he can become distracted in exciting environments, and will do best with a family that can provide regular exercise.He can be reactive to other dogs, unfamiliar people, and passing cars while on leash, so his future family should be prepared to continue building his confidence with patient, positive training. He has also experienced recurring gastrointestinal issues and is currently working with his veterinarian. His future family should be prepared to continue that veterinary care and management as needed. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, and it was made solely because our life circumstances have changed significantly since adopting him.
