I purchased my dog from a breeder in SC to be an emotional support animal for my special needs son. It is not working out as my special needs son gets more anxiety with having him than he did before we got him! He has not been neutered but I believe he is up to date on his shots! He is crate trained but not fully house trained and still has accidents/marks his territory inside our apt. He will be 2 years old on August 29, 2026 and weighs between 10-14 pounds.

Meet Luca! 🐶 Luca is a sweet, loving 4-month-old Cavapoo who brings so much joy to everyone he meets. He has a gentle and friendly personality and does wonderfully with people, children, and other dogs. Luca loves attention, cuddles, and being around his family, and he is sure to make a wonderful companion for a lucky home. This decision has been incredibly difficult for me, but due to a recent job change, I am no longer able to dedicate the time and consistency that a young puppy needs for training and development. Luca deserves a family that can give him the time, patience, and attention he needs during this important stage of his life. Luca is still a puppy, so he will need continued potty training and basic obedience training, but he is a smart boy with so much potential. I am committed to finding him a loving, forever home where he will be cherished as a member of the family. If you are looking for a sweet, affectionate, and social companion, Luca may be the perfect addition.

No Phone Calls -Please fill out an adoption application, send it back to us and we will review and return calls. Go to charlottecockerrescue.org to download and save an application. Email it back to larrydonnacarp@aol.com to be approved. No Elderly Owners due to his past history. He will do best with an owner 50 years old or younger. He is an active dog and would be too much for a senior owner. Absolutely no children or grandkids. Adult only home is best. Meet JoJo, a handsome, active 9-year-old black n white Cavalier mix. His owner bought him from a breeder. When he decided to move, he turned him into a shelter where he was taken in by a rescue. He bit several of their people, and they didn't know how to deal with him, so he came to us. Every day we have worked with him, challenged him and corrected him to behave properly. We have not quit on him just because he needs to learn things. He has been with us for 4 1/2 years and has made tremendous progress. His issues are doable if you listen to our suggestions and what we have learned works for him to be a good dog. Ideal home is a calm adult only home with a good alpha owner willing to work with him and a small dog social pal. A fenced yard is a must. He is crate trained, mostly house trained and eats well at mealtimes. A home with few visitors and limited distractions is a plus. No children, no grandchildren and no senior owners due to his past. He can be with other dogs but doesn't do well with big dogs and cannot be in a home with Pitt Bulls. He does best with Cocker Spaniels and Corgi's, but he is not a dog who likes to play with them. He is selective with who he likes and will bond well with you once he knows you. He can be a sweet, goofy guy, likes to play fetch, is a bit jealous at times, enjoys mealtimes and doesn't do well going outside when it rains. A woman groomer is best. Adoption Fee $400
