Story
Meet Hollie! A 2 year old yorkie/poodle mix brought to us after her and her friends were rescued by PETA. Upon arrival to our shelter all pups needed medical care, and got the best treatment from our clinic and nursery team. Now that Hollie has been cleared medically she is ready for her forever family. She will need children 6 and up in her future home as she can be a little nervous. If you have another dog in your home we will require a meet and greet prior to adoption to make sure everyone gets along. Due to her breed it will be very important her adopter get her in for regular grooming normally every 6-8 weeks. We have a great list of groomers in the Hampton Roads area we can send with you. One last thing to remember is that Hollie, while she may only be 5.2 pounds is still a dog and small dog breeds have big personalities and require the same level of care and attention as larger dogs. If you would like to meet Hollie or have more questions please speak with our kennel team who will be happy to help.

Story
His reason for rehoming sounds bad, but Padfoot is a sweet, loving 3 year old boy. He gets along with his brother 90 % of the time, so as far as littermate syndrome goes, it isn’t as bad as I understand it can be. However since my husband passed in November he and his brother are more on edge with each other and have had one big scuffle that makes me feel they should be separated. He is not aggressive towards neighbors or other animals. He is great with kids. My daughter lays on him and he could care less. He likes to chase squirrels, but is not obsessive over them. He has not been around cats since he was a puppy, but had a healthy respect for their space. He is fully house trained and good on a leash, but he gets nervous around busy streets and jet noise. He can be talkative if you encourage him, but otherwise does not bark a lot. We are choosing to rehome him instead of his brother because we live near the airbase and feel he would benefit more from the move.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK US IF HE IS HYPOALLERGRNIC. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HYPOALLERGENIC DOG. Max was surrendered to PAWS Wide Open Rescue when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Max is a hyper boy who will need lots of walks and playtime. He is super sweet and loves to be around people. Max will be neutered 5/7 and will be available after he recovers. Message us if you are interested in meeting Max!
