Story
His reason for rehoming sounds bad, but Padfoot is a sweet, loving 3 year old boy. He gets along with his brother 90 % of the time, so as far as littermate syndrome goes, it isn’t as bad as I understand it can be. However since my husband passed in November he and his brother are more on edge with each other and have had one big scuffle that makes me feel they should be separated. He is not aggressive towards neighbors or other animals. He is great with kids. My daughter lays on him and he could care less. He likes to chase squirrels, but is not obsessive over them. He has not been around cats since he was a puppy, but had a healthy respect for their space. He is fully house trained and good on a leash, but he gets nervous around busy streets and jet noise. He can be talkative if you encourage him, but otherwise does not bark a lot. We are choosing to rehome him instead of his brother because we live near the airbase and feel he would benefit more from the move.

Story
Hi, I’m Bugle! I’m four years old, 23 pounds of pug mix personality, and I’m here to keep life lively. Now, let’s talk about me honestly—I’m not your average, easygoing pup. I’m spirited, mischievous, and bursting with energy. I’ve got a knack for finding creative ways to entertain myself, which sometimes means chewing up blankets, beds, or occasionally a cable cord. I’m still working on my potty training and guard my food. I’ll need a patient person who can help me learn better manners. I’m hyper, playful, and dramatic in the funniest ways—you’ll never wonder what I’m thinking because I’ll let you know. Here’s the thing: beneath all the chaos, I’m sweet. I love other dogs, I am good with kids, I enjoy snuggles when I’ve burned off my energy, and I’ve got a scrappy little face that makes people smile even when I’ve just caused a little trouble. I respond well to correction, and with consistency, I’ll thrive. My antics might keep you on your toes, but they’ll also keep you laughing. I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and currently hanging out in Hampton, VA (though I can be transported out of state for the right home). If you’re looking for a dog who’s full of personality, who will challenge you, entertain you, and reward you with affection once you’ve earned my trust, I’m your guy. I’m not perfect—but I’m perfectly Bugle.

Story
Diego is a sweet dog whom I adopted almost 11 years ago now at the SPCA in Norfolk. I am moving cross country for work and he is at an age that I do not think it’s fair to put him through such a massive change. He keeps to himself mostly. Needs a quiet environment without kids or other animals.

Story
Meet Sam, a resilient and deeply affectionate 4-year-old tripod dog. After spending his first 200 days in a shelter, Sam has spent the last year becoming a master of "nose-bops" and gentle nudges to show his love. He is a smart, potty-trained boy who knows his commands and boasts excellent recall on our property. While Sam is fantastic with chickens, ducks, and rabbits, he is a natural "alpha" and needs a home where he is either the only dog or paired with a submissive companion. Sam is great with kids of all ages! We are making the heartbreaking decision to rehome him only to ensure the peace and safety of our senior dog. Sammy is a loyal, special soul ready for his next great adventure.

Story
Zane is a lover and loves cuddles and playing. He is great with kids we just don’t have the ability to give him the love he needs. He is hopefully a package deal with his brother Zeke. They love each other very much and keep one another entertained. They both had their shots up to 1 years old but have not had their adult shots. They are both healthy and house trained. They deserve more love and attention then we are able to give them.
