Meet Brook 💕 Brook is a gentle soul who is learning what it means to be loved. After spending her early life in a puppy mill, everything in the world is still very new to her. While she can be shy and unsure at first, once she feels safe, Brook’s sweet personality shines through. She absolutely loves curling up in laps, soaking up attention, and being pampered with grooming sessions. She also rides wonderfully in the car and enjoys quiet companionship with her people. Brook is still adjusting to life in a home and will need a patient adopter who understands that progress takes time. She is fearful of doorways and leashes, and she is still working on potty training. She does well when kept on a regular schedule and thrives with gentle encouragement rather than pressure. She can also be a bit of a picky eater and isn’t very treat motivated. Brook can be selective with other dogs and may need slow, proper introductions to feel comfortable. She has shown some guarding and herding behaviors around certain dogs, especially high-energy personalities, so any canine companions should be a good match for her temperament. A calm, patient home that can help her continue building confidence will set her up for success. Brook is looking for a loving family who will give her the time and understanding she deserves as she learns how wonderful life outside the puppy mill can truly be. In return, she will reward you with endless love, quiet companionship, and the sweetest cuddles. 🐾 All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Meet Meadow 🌼 Meadow is a 4-year-old Goldendoodle who came from a puppy mill and is still learning to feel safe in the world. She can be shy with new people, but with time and patience, her sweet personality begins to shine. Meadow absolutely loves being outside—walks are her favorite, and she’s happiest exploring at her own pace. She’s been building confidence in her foster home and will do best with a calm, understanding adopter who will let her adjust on her own timeline. A secure yard would be a great bonus for her, and she remains calm and curious when seeing other dogs on walks. Meadow is looking for a patient home that will help her continue to blossom into the loving companion she’s meant to be. 💛 All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Story
THEO is a very sweet and playful mixed breed dog. He's around 3 mo old and 7lbs but will likely be 20lbs full grown. He's very active and loves to give kisses. He gets along well with other dogs and appears non-reactive to cats (although he does not live with any). He would be fine with small children and adults alike. He enjoys chew toys and bones of all kinds and adores wrestling with anyone who will give him the time of day! He is NOT pottytrained so be prepared to deal with all things puppy (housetraining, chewing, etc). He is fostered in Houston TX and will not be transported until adopted. His fee is $850. You may pick him up in Texas or we can discuss flying him to you. The first step in adoption is to fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org.
