Click here to apply for the pet X URGENT- APPLE VALLEY, CA (SO CAL)- HEARTBREAKING SITUATION, TWO SWEET SISTER LAB/SHEPHERD X’S, approx. 8 yrs old IN NEED OF AN IMMEDIATE HOME TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY - may be shelter bound at kill shelter if no home(s) is/are found soon. Very friendly, good with other dogs and kids. No issues, vetted, spayed. Can stay together or separated. Please help us find a loving, responsible home or homes, or even fosters, for these dear girls Sandy (gold) and Minnie (black), who have been much loved since they were rescued as young puppies from the same litter. Their owner once helped us rescue a stray dog they found dumped, and just reached out to us in desperation due to the dire situation they are now in, and unable to keep the dogs at their home. The owner loves their dogs and does not want to take these dogs to the local kill shelter where they know they would be euthanized. Is there anyone who can help foster or adopt? They can stay together or be separated. Please see their adorable video in the comments section of this post❤️ Currently, Sandy and Minnie are in a temporary boarding situation in a small kennel together- and outside in scorching heat! This is the result of having to take in their grandchildren unexpectedly, and Child Protective Services will not let the grandchildren stay in this home unless these dogs have another place to go. Previously, they lived as indoor dogs with access to outside. The owner describes both Sandy and Minnie as “very friendly with people very friendly with kids. I’m not sure about cats and I’m sure they would be fine with other dogs as long as they were introduced correctly. Both of them are fixed. They were fixed at four months old. They do need booster shots. we would consider getting them their booster shots. No medical issues or behavior issues”. They are each approximately 80 lbs. Therefore. if you are interested in adopting (or fostering) either dog or both, in person, please contact robinmorgan@cox.net or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist this family with their placement. Please note we do not normally have available transport out of the area, this is something an adopter would need to investigate and arrange, and pay for if needed. X URGENT- AT LA CITY SHELTER WHICH IS MORE THAN FULL - SWEET GENTLE GIANT NEEDS A LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP Help! The LA city shelter is full and is asking for help for dear Bagheera. Please help us find a good home, or foster and rescue, for this very adorable boy who came to the shelter as a stray his owner never showed. Bagheera is listed as 3 year old male Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Chow, although his tongue is pink so he may have no chow. He resembles more of a flat coated a retriever mix and weighs 92 lbs., and we don’t want to see him overlooked. We were given some shelter snd medical notes, which can be shared, and should be requested. He has some minor medical with an old ear infection and some flea dermatitis so a follow up vet visit is requested. Story
Jacks is a loving dog with a lot of energy. He was rescued from a kill shelter and has grown with our family. He gets along well with our 2 y/o German Shepard mix and smaller dog, however he does sometimes show signs of aggression when he gets too aroused or anxious; ex: When walking both dogs together, if he sees another dog within close range he will sometimes lunge forward and then become slightly aggressive over our German Shepard. He does tend to bark or at neighbors passing, but is easily distracted with treats or toys and does listen when you tell him to come inside. He’s extremely smart and very obedient. Potty trained and crate trained. He would thrive with someone who is looking for an energetic dog with lots of energy and spunk. We are hoping he finds a home with a backyard and someone who is very active. He would be fine alone or with another dog, as he loves to play together and alone.
