How this pet arrived: Orion was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on June 27, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Orion - a shining star in the making who's just looking for the right constellation to call home. Found as a stray, Orion's past is unknown, but he's ready to write a new chapter with a patient and understanding family. He can be nervous with new faces and places, so he'll need a calm, supportive environment (and no little ones under 12) to help him build confidence. Once he feels safe, Orion's playful side comes out - he loves long walks, sniffing every inch of the trail, doing zoomies in the yard and soaking up affection - even belly rubs! He can get a little overexcited at times (which may include jumping and mouthing), but with continued positive reinforcement and slow introductions, this sweet boy will keep shining brighter every day! Felicia is a happy-go-lucky sweetheart who's been nothing but friendly with our staff. She's patiently waiting for someone who will enjoy her warm company, gentle nature and big brown eyes. Known to be an oversized lap dog, this girl will do whatever it takes to curl up right next to you! Felicia has been known to have big feelings around other dogs, so although she may not be a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues, there are lots of other activities you can do together to strengthen your bond! She'll benefit from a canine free home without any shared fence lines with other dogs. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your days with, Felicia might just be your perfect match! Amber is a spayed 7-8 year old female black lab who needs a new home because her prior senior citizen owner, our brother Wes, cannot take her to his new care facility. Amber's disposition is friendly toward familiar people. She is an EXCELLENT companion dog who is quiet and restful. She is guarded with strangers, but warms up quickly. She can be anxious and barking if left alone for multiple hours. She is indifferent to adult cats, and can live peacefully with another dog. Noisy, young, playful, kids make her anxious and would take getting used to. She does not tolerate being left alone or locked and crated for prolonged hours, as she barks in protest. She likes petting and a good belly rub. Weighs about 70 lbs; is in good health with maintenance flea and tick meds and nail clippings. She needs regular brushing to maintain her shiny, silky smooth, black fur. She is potty trained, and walks on a 6 foot leash without pulling or dragging you down the road.
