Meet Hera, an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 12 pounds. This sweet little lady is ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with someone who will love her just as she is. Hera is a friendly, affectionate girl who believes there's no better place to be than curled up in a warm lap, soaking up all the love and attention you have to give. She has a gentle spirit and an easygoing personality that makes her a wonderful companion. Hera is blind in her left eye due to glaucoma, but she navigates life just fine and is far more interested in spending time with her favorite people than worrying about what she can't see. She could also stand to lose a little weight, and with a healthy routine and a few leisurely walks, she'll be on her way to feeling her best. After everything she's been through, Hera deserves a home where she can relax, feel safe, and know she's cherished every single day. If you have room in your lap and an extra spot in your heart, Hera is ready to fill both with unconditional love. Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
