Story
Meet Thor – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Second Chance Thor was just a tiny pup when he was first adopted—full of hope, love, and tail wags. For a while, it seemed like his forever had come. But sometimes life doesn’t go as planned, and now, two years later, Thor finds himself back in our care. He hasn’t let it harden him. He’s still the same loyal, affectionate boy—just waiting for someone to finally choose him for good. A unique mix of Black Lab, Jack Russell, and Doberman, Thor is around two years old and 50 pounds of heart. He can be shy at first, especially around new people or unfamiliar situations, but give him a little time and he’ll show you who he truly is: a quiet shadow at your feet, a soft head resting in your lap, a best friend who wants nothing more than to be near the people he trusts. Thor thrives in calm environments with patient people who understand the power of kindness and routine. He’s especially drawn to women at first, but once trust is built, he warms up beautifully to men too. He loves being outdoors, playing fetch, chasing toys, and soaking up the simple joys of life. Inside, he’s well-mannered, house-trained, and always eager to please. He gets along well with other dogs after slow introductions and has done great living with them. He’s also gentle with children, making him a sweet and sensitive companion for a family who values connection over chaos. Thor has so much love to give—he just needs someone to believe in him. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will quietly adore you, follow you from room to room, and remind you every day what trust looks like, Thor may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Let’s give him the forever he’s always deserved. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. Story
Meet Agave – A Sweet Survivor with a Soul Made of Gold Thrown from a moving vehicle and left broken on the expressway, Agave’s story could have ended in heartbreak. But this extraordinary girl chose to keep going. With a fractured pelvis, a fractured front leg, and unimaginable pain, she still looked to humans with hope. And today? She’s walking again. She’s healing. She’s beginning to trust that love won’t always hurt. Agave is as sweet as her name suggests—gentle, affectionate, and endlessly resilient. She’s the kind of dog who leans in for comfort, whose eyes speak volumes, and whose quiet strength will move you to tears. There’s something about her presence that makes you pause, breathe deeper, and feel lucky just to be near her. She’s made incredible progress through physical therapy and is blossoming into a playful, loving companion. She loves her walks and trots proudly at your side, soaking up every scent and every moment. She’ll gently chase after a ball and light up when she catches it—never too rowdy, always just happy to be included. Car rides are her jam. She gazes out the window, ears in the wind, as if she’s remembering how far she’s come. Agave gets along beautifully with most other dogs and has a soft spot for calm, structured homes. She’s mostly housebroken and does her best to communicate when she needs to go out. She knows basic commands, offers a paw when asked, and wants nothing more than to make her people proud. After everything she’s endured, Agave deserves a peaceful, predictable place to continue healing—ideally with women or older children who will give her the space and patience to feel safe. Loud, fast movements still worry her, especially from men, but she’s learning that love can be quiet, steady, and safe. Agave has survived the unthinkable, and yet she remains sweet, soft, and so full of love. Her story didn’t end on that expressway. It’s just beginning—and you could be the one to help her write the next chapter. Let Agave show you what it means to be brave. Let her remind you that sweetness can survive anything. Fluffy Puddin A17594654 lb. Neutered male, approx 2 years old -This lil’ Puddin is calm, gentle and oh so sweet!-He can start off shy and needs to warm up a bit-He’s a little nervous to walk on a leash but is already making great progress!-He takes treats very gently before spitting them out 🤷‍♀️-As soon as I sat down on the ground he army crawled over in between my legs for pets-He gives lots of kisses-He was content to just hang out and be getting attention-Not currently interested in toys but maybe that will change when he’s more confident-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros
