Story
Hey! I'm Tony, Tony, Tone! Okay, people just call me Tony. I'm a 100lb Flat Coat Retriever who is about 5 years old. I just loves my tennis ball. I can play fetch all day long, like seriously. I'm good with other dogs, but keep in mind I'm a big dude. When I'm playing around, I don't know how to slow down sometimes and could knock over some smaller children. Cats? I am a bit curious and like to sniff them to investigate. I am good in a kennel and working on my house manners. My adoption fee is $200. This fee covers my vaccinations, heartworm test, microchip and neuter surgery. To adopt me please apply at lucky13rescue.org.

Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Goldie is 1.5 years old, 45 pounds, spayed, up to date on all vetting, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175. Meet Goldie! This lovable girl came to PAWS after giving birth in a rural shelter. She raised her babies and now she's ready to find a home of her own! Goldie does well with other dogs, and plays with her best friend Neo every day! She is very active and would love a home that will take her for long walks, play fetch, and she would even be a good candidate for doggy daycare! Though she does have a few things to learn, Goldie is a gem and she can't wait to meet you!December 2, 2023, 2:28 pm

Story
We show our dogs by appointment only. If you are interested in fostering or adoption from us, please fill lout our online application at kcpaws.petfinder.com. Whiskey's adoption fee will be $150. She must go to a home with at least one other dog.  Whiskey lived on a rural farm in Oklahoma as a completely feral dog. When she arrived she had no idea what it meant to be touched by a human. She had never been on a leash, never even eaten from a bowl. She was terrified of everything around her and did not know what it meant to trust anyone. For weeks, our staff would sit in her run just to get her used to human company, she was to scared to take treats from us and would wait to eat until the night time when everyone was gone. We slowly began to introduce her to other dogs, which really helped her start to come out of her shell just enough to go outside and back in on her own. Whiskey’s rehabilitation has been nearly 1.5 years in the making. She has finally started to bond with a particular staff member. She enjoys quiet time and gentle pets and brushing. Whiskey still is not used to being on a leash. This will continue to take a lot of patience. She must have a home with a securely fenced yard. She is definitely a flight risk and is skittish. We are also requiring she have another dog in her new home. Whiskey is mellow and keeps her run here at the shelter very clean. She currently plays in our small dog playgroup but gets along with dogs of all sizes. We believe she is around 4-5 years old and she weighs about 45 lbs. Whiskey is now in a foster home and has made a lot of improvement and is beginning to trust people. Her foster mom has been working on getting her used to leashes, she doesn't love it but is becoming more tolerant. She will likely never be a dog that enjoys going for walks but the goal is to have her be able to safely walk to and from the car for vet appointments and such. Whiskey has another dog in her foster home and they get along well, she's not really much of a player but she co exists with another dog just fine.  She often likes to spend time just laying in her bed. She is a den dog who likes to have a safe space.  She is food motivated and will warm up to new things with the help of her favorite treats.  SHe is a dog that will just need a lot of patience and TLC. December 2, 2023, 2:28 pm
