This gorgeous pup is Olive, our friend with City of Raytown Animal Services. She's about 3 years old and is an amazing Chesapeake Bay retriever mix. Is she smart? Oh, yes, she is! Olive knows sit, down, stay, and shake, and she walks perfectly on a leash. She's also calm and loves people, including kids. Olive is working on dog-to-dog intros. She's still a little unsure, but with a slow introduction, she would do very well with another dog. We don't yet know how she is with cats. If you'd like to meet Olive, stop by the shelter at 10312 E. 63rd St., Raytown, MO, during regular business hours, or call the shelter at 816-737-7025. Lucy is incredibly smart. She loves hard. Give the biggest hugs. She will even jump into your arms and be held like a baby. LOVES to play fetch. She could do that for hours. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over. Not a very good walking dog. She plays very good with kids and most other dogs. She is the friendliest dog when you take her to dog play places. Our other dog she is not a fan of and unfortunately due to our living situation and close quarters we cannot keep Lucy. We have all her paperwork. She is fine to stay with us for a while she is just having to be kept separate and not let out to run around or play as much as we know she deserves. She really is a good dog. Her smarts get her in trouble but if someone has time to spend with her she with be the most sweet loyal dog.

Shylow, sweet pup she was dumped along with 3 other siblings. I am looking for a good home where she will be trained. Right now she is full of energy and eager to learn. Shylow is potty trained. We need some one experienced to provide a secure yard and Plenty of exercise. Shylow, is friendly towards other dogs. I know she would be a great family dog. My husband and I are getting up there in age so we can't keep her for our own. We are not sure about the age? Shylow has had her Rabies shot. Shylow needs socialized with people, so we don't know about kids?

Max came to us from KC Pet Project, and he truly is a wonderful dog. He’s incredibly sweet, smart, and eager to learn—he picks things up quickly and just wants to be part of the family.This has been a very difficult decision. Due to changes in our home environment, we’re no longer able to give Max the stability he deserves. This is not a reflection of him at all—he has done absolutely nothing wrong.Max would thrive in a home that can offer consistency, attention, and a calm, supportive environment. He has so much love to give and will make an amazing companion for the right person or family.Max is currently being treated for heartworms. Heartworms are not contagious, and he is already on a vet-guided treatment plan. We will provide up to one year of medication/supplies to support his continued care and recovery.
