My girlfriend and I were doing some work on the house and this cute black dog approached us in our yard. A little banged up we could tell he had been abandoned and living on the streets for a while. We decided to play fetch with a stick for about an hour. We wrapped things up and went to bed. Come to find out he was sleeping on our deck the next morning. We didn't have it in us to ignore him and leave him on the streets so we took him in and got him healthy. He was extremely greatful to have a home. He promptly learned many commands and tricks, such as sot, lay down, fetch, shake and even whisper! He was eager to please. I know this isn't the kind of dog that would run away from a good family. My girlfriend and I have been doing our best to take care of him between our jobs with conflicting schedules but we just can't make it work forever. It would be too much time in the kennel. All he needs is a loving family with a yard. He deserves it

Story
Casper is a neutered lab/husky mix around 2 years old. He is VERY smart, super loving, and great on a leash! We originally got Casper abt 6 months ago. He picked US. He instantly attached to our child and they were inseparable. We took him to a couple of adoption events, but he wouldn't leave our child's side. There were a couple of minor fights between him and our 5 year old male dog (pit bull/german shepherd mix). However, the first week of October Casper and the other male dog had a HUGE fight. Ever since then, Casper can't even look at our other dog without growling and wanting to attack (even through a glass door). We had a trainer come up and told us we can't fix the issue, and no amount of training will be able to get him past this. We really do not want to get rid of him, but are forced to. We are wanting to find a loving home for him at least a temporary foster home. He would be GREAT for a retiree who loves to go on walks. No other dogs or young children.

Penny is a one-year-old spayed black Lab mix. She is housebroken, crate-trained, and food motivated. I adopted her as a young puppy, and she’s been raised in a home with a toy poodle, and no kids. She is loving, sensitive, shy and energetic. She enjoys running laps around the backyard and chewing on toys and bones. She loves walks, sniffing everything in sight, and curling up for naps after a good play session. Penny is a fearful dog and can become reactive when she is overwhelmed or startled. Because of this, she needs a calm, structured home with someone experienced in handling anxious or sensitive dogs. She would do best in a low-traffic home with no small children. She will be able to live with another well-adjusted dog with a slow introduction. I’m rehoming her due to a combination of factors, mainly health and financial. I have histamine intolerance and allergies that have worsened with her in the home, and I’m not in a position financially to pursue training or further care.
