  Meet Beauregard (Beau ) &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Some dogs are born with a purpose, but they never get the chance to discover it until someone believes in them. Beauregard is one of those dogs.   This Lab/Hound mix boy was found abandoned on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Middle Tennessee—hungry, covered in fleas and ticks, scarred from hardship, and too terrified to accept a gentle human touch. He had all but given up on life, surviving only on scraps of food and little more. Beau's story didn’t end there. Caring rescuers saw beyond his broken, skinny body and haunting eyes. With Critter Cavalry Rescue’s help, Beau was trapped, treated by a vet and given the first real chance of a good and loving future in his young life. Less than a year old and painfully thin,  Beau has since grown into a healthy, strong 75-pound boy with a heart that’s slowly learning how to trust and love again.   His foster mom, Cissy, describes his journey best:  “When Beau first arrived, he wouldn’t come out of his doghouse or look at me. But little by little, food, fresh water, and the happy barks of my other dogs began to chip away at his fear. The first time he took a treat from my hand, I knew he was beginning to understand love. Now Beau is part of our pack—he follows me around the farm, plays with the other dogs, and even helps encourage new rescues to run and play, just as others once taught him. He still has moments of fear with new people or the leash, but his confidence grows every single day. Watching him blossom has been nothing short of amazing.”    Beauregard’s scars—both inside and out—are healing, and his purpose is becoming clear that he is going to be a loyal, loving companion. He’s looking for a home with a kind, but confident leader who can continue guiding him on this journey of love and trust.. Introducing Blair, a spirited and affectionate pup whose journey is as special as her Fourth of July birthday. Born into hardship but rescued just in time, Blair now has a fresh new start and is ready to leap into a future filled with love, comfort, and joyful adventures. Blair’s mama is a gorgeous Chocolate Lab, and her dad is an Australian Shepherd—but Blair herself is very much her mama’s daughter, with classic Lab looks: sleek black fur, expressive eyes, and a tiny touch of white on her chest. She is fully vetted, spayed, and thriving in her experienced foster home where she’s receiving all the care and nourishment she once lacked. This sweet girl has a big personality—she’s the social one of the litter, always eager to announce new discoveries, say hello to visitors, or let you know when something exciting is happening in the yard. Once she understands her surroundings, she settles into quiet observation mode, taking everything in like the smart little lady she is. Blair came from a place where food was scarce and attention even scarcer, so now she treasures every meal, every cuddle, and every moment she’s included. She’s learning the ropes of puppy manners: Leash training is a work in progress and her crate training is going well, but she prefers bedtime snuggles over crates.  Housebreaking is doing well with a doggie door to encourage impromptu excursions outside when nature calls.  What Blair needs most is a family who will guide her gently, love her deeply, and help her become the confident, well-mannered companion she’s meant to be. A fenced yard, patient humans, and maybe some children to adore would make her dreams come true. Kaz is one of those dogs that you could overlook if you just glanced at him.  But if you actually meet him and spend 5 minutes with him, then you see what a remarkable boy he is.   This 40 pounds Lab mix guy is 9-10 months old and he is looking for an exciting family to live with and spread his very special positive vibes and good will.  He is on the smaller side of a Lab and who knows what many other influences there are in his DNA.  What we do know is that he is a sweetheart of a dog who is so very intelligent and a ready student to learn.  He 'gets it' in life and is housebroken, crate trained and very inquisitive.  He manages to hang out with dogs of all sizes and ages with the greatest of ease.  Nothing unnerves this boy.   He is great with young children, adults, other dogs and even a cat.  He still has the puppy tendencies and gets the zoomies when he is excited and feeling his oats for the morning.  He does settle down ever so sweetly and can hang on the sofa or at your feet while you work.  He loves to cuddle and show you just how devoted and happy he is to be with you.  Kaz has a big heart ready for someone that will treasure his love.  If you are looking for a fun and active young teenage dog that will be a medium dog and no more than 50 pounds, yet BIG on personality, then write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live and a little something about yourself.  He is able to be an apartment dog if you are an active family, too.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 15, 2026, 11:53 pm
