Story
Meet Goldie Belle    Goldie Belle is a young 2-3 year old, 61 pound Doodle mix with a heart as tender as her beautiful, soulful eyes. No one knows how long she was on her own as a homeless girl wandering from house to house in a rural neighborhood — matted, hungry, and carrying a secret. Despite the odds stacked against her, she gave birth to her puppies and did her best to care for them, all while trying to survive herself.  At first, Goldie was shy and reserved, unsure if she could trust the people around her. But as neighbors fed her each day, her gentle spirit began to shine through. Goldie wants to love, to play, and to feel safe — she’s just waiting for the right family to give her that chance.   This sweet girl gets along well with other dogs, especially if they are friendly and kind. What Goldie Belle needs most is a calm, stable environment filled with consistency, patience, and love. With time, she will blossom into the playful, loving companion she’s always wanted to be.   And did we mention her eyes? Goldie has the most unique, heart-melting gaze — the kind that tells a story of resilience and hope, and the promise of all the love she’s ready to give.   If you’re looking for a gentle soul who just needs someone to believe in her, Goldie Belle is waiting.    Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in receiving an application and knowing more about her.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 16, 2025, 9:19 pm

Story
Allow me to introduce myself… My name is Lovely Loretta, and yes—I really live up to my name. I’m an elegant, affectionate 7–8-month-old girl with the softest golden coat and a heart that just bursts with love. My mom is a Great Pyrenees mix and my dad is a Hound/Lab mix, yet somehow I came out looking like a sunny Yellow Lab. Life works in funny, wonderful ways! I’m about 48 pounds right now—your classic adorable “teenage pup”—and I’ll likely grow into a graceful 60-ish pound adult. For now, I’m all gentle wiggles, soft eyes, and the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. I adore people. I adore dogs. And I’m even respectful around cats. I just love life—every moment, every friend, every chance to be close to someone who cares. I walk beautifully on a leash, I play kindly with dogs and humans, and I truly want nothing more than to be someone’s loyal girl. I’m still healing from having my dewclaws removed, but that hasn’t changed my happy, grateful spirit one bit. I came from a very rural area of Tennessee, part of an unexpected litter from a mama who was never given the chance to be spayed. Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to make sure my story didn’t end where it started—and now I’m dreaming big. I’m dreaming of a home filled with kindness, laughter, and people I can grow up loving with my whole heart. If you choose me, I promise to be everything my name says I am: Lovely, loyal, and full of joy. Your Lovely Loretta—forever proud to be your girl. If you'd like to meet me, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and share your city and state.Let’s start our holiday season with a brand-new beginning! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 15, 2025, 6:40 pm

Story
Meet Beauregard (Beau ) &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Some dogs are born with a purpose, but they never get the chance to discover it until someone believes in them. Beauregard is one of those dogs.   This Lab/Hound mix boy was found abandoned on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Middle Tennessee—hungry, covered in fleas and ticks, scarred from hardship, and too terrified to accept a gentle human touch. He had all but given up on life, surviving only on scraps of food and little more. Beau's story didn’t end there. Caring rescuers saw beyond his broken, skinny body and haunting eyes. With Critter Cavalry Rescue’s help, Beau was trapped, treated by a vet and given the first real chance of a good and loving future in his young life. Less than a year old and painfully thin,  Beau has since grown into a healthy, strong 75-pound boy with a heart that’s slowly learning how to trust and love again.   His foster mom, Cissy, describes his journey best:  “When Beau first arrived, he wouldn’t come out of his doghouse or look at me. But little by little, food, fresh water, and the happy barks of my other dogs began to chip away at his fear. The first time he took a treat from my hand, I knew he was beginning to understand love. Now Beau is part of our pack—he follows me around the farm, plays with the other dogs, and even helps encourage new rescues to run and play, just as others once taught him. He still has moments of fear with new people or the leash, but his confidence grows every single day. Watching him blossom has been nothing short of amazing.”    Beauregard’s scars—both inside and out—are healing, and his purpose is becoming clear that he is going to be a loyal, loving companion. He’s looking for a home with a kind, but confident leader who can continue guiding him on this journey of love and trust.. With patience, consistency, and love, Beau will give back tenfold—his big heart and beautiful soul are simply waiting for the right family to share them with.&#226&#156&#168 Beau is more than a survivor—he’s a testament to resilience, hope, and the healing power of love. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he’s been waiting for?  please email asking for more information or an adoption form to ccrnewengland@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 2, 2025, 1:51 pm

&#226&#156&#168Meet Blair: From Brave Beginnings to Bright Futures” Introducing Blair, a spirited and affectionate pup whose journey is as special as her Fourth of July birthday. Born into hardship but rescued just in time, Blair now has a fresh new start and is ready to leap into a future filled with love, comfort, and joyful adventures. Blair’s mama is a gorgeous Chocolate Lab, and her dad is an Australian Shepherd—but Blair herself is very much her mama’s daughter, with classic Lab looks: sleek black fur, expressive eyes, and a tiny touch of white on her chest. She is fully vetted, spayed, and thriving in her experienced foster home where she’s receiving all the care and nourishment she once lacked. This sweet girl has a big personality—she’s the vocal one of the litter, always eager to announce new discoveries, say hello to visitors, or let you know when something exciting is happening in the yard. Once she understands her surroundings, she settles into quiet observation mode, taking everything in like the smart little lady she is. Blair came from a place where food was scarce and attention even scarcer, so now she treasures every meal, every cuddle, and every moment she’s included. She’s learning the ropes of puppy manners: • Leash training is a work in progress and her crate training is going but she prefers bedtime snuggles over crates.  Housebreaking is doing well with a doggie door to encourage impromptu excursions outside when nature calls.  What Blair needs most is a family who will guide her gently, love her deeply, and help her become the confident, well-mannered companion she’s meant to be. A fenced yard, patient humans, and maybe some children to adore would make her holiday dreams come true. If Blair sounds like your perfect new family member, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. This girl has a heart full of love—and she’s ready to share it with YOU.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 16, 2025, 1:32 pm

Story
When Trace wandered out of the Natchez Trace, his tail gave the first hint of who he really is—gentle, hopeful, and longing for connection. This 2–3-year-old black and white Lab mix, possibly with some Great Pyrenees in his lineage, carries a sweetness that is impossible to miss. His 68-pound frame may look imposing at first, especially with his intense amber eyes, but anyone who meets him quickly discovers a soft-hearted boy who wants nothing more than to be loved.   Trace is wonderful with other dogs and has shown himself to be friendly and patient with cats as well. He enjoys staying close during walks and does well on a leash, making him a great match for someone who wants a loyal companion by their side. Despite his size, he carries himself with a gentle, easygoing nature that puts other animals—and people—at ease.   Because of whatever life he had before rescue, Trace is still learning about everyday things many dogs take for granted. Doorways, car rides, and new spaces can make him hesitate, but with patience and encouragement, he moves forward and gains confidence. Once he trusts someone, his playful side emerges, revealing a sweet, goofy boy who simply wants to be someone’s beloved family member.   Trace is ready for a home where he’s allowed to live indoors, relax at his person’s feet, and discover all the comforts of a life filled with security and affection. If this wonderful boy sounds like the gentle companion you’ve been searching for, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Trace is waiting for the chance to finally feel safe—and to give his whole heart to the person who chooses him.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 16, 2025, 10:26 pm

Meet Riggs – The Energetic, Loyal, Gorgeous Chocolate Retriever mix boy!  Riggs is a Chocolate Retriever mix that is barely a year old, just under 50 lbs, and ready to find his forever family. He didn’t have the best start since he was originally dumped at the Agriculture School in Nashville, TN and left to run scared through traffic on a hot day. Thankfully, a kind foster mom earned his trust, and now Riggs is thriving in foster care and looking for the home he truly deserves &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143.   This boy is full of energy and a twinkle in his eye when he tries to find a good rumble play partner in the backyard.   This boy is a handsome male that is begging to be taught all the good manners in life.  Some boundaries created and training sessions that will polish him into the smart and enviable companion that he has the potential to be. Riggs will be a fun project to take under wing.  He already has the important skills of walking well on a leash and being able to get along at a dog park.  Here are the stats on Riggs and all the good things about him.   &#226&#156&#168 About Riggs: Young, ~1 year old, ~50 lbs Chocolate Retriever mix with a shiny coat + toffee-colored eyes and a feathery tail Sweet, affectionate, and full of enthusiasm Best for a family with older kids (he’s loving but sometimes a little too bouncy) Thrives with lots of exercise — daily walks, hikes, dog park trips, or an active playmate Would love another high-energy dog in the home, but he’s also perfect for an outdoorsy person who wants a loyal sidekick A total water dog — creeks, showers, and even water bowls are his jam Great on leash, house-trained, learning crate manners, and knows “sit” Can be a chatty guard dog — he’ll tell you about his day, announce visitors, and let you know when packages arrive His deep bark might sound intimidating, but behind it is a goofy, loyal companion Riggs is past the destructive puppy stage but still learning manners—he jumps when excited and has plenty of young-dog energy. Once he’s had his exercise, though, he’s a calm, sweet couch buddy who loves nothing more than Netflix snuggles.
