Story
🐾 Meet Bear – Your Future Best Friend! 🐾 This handsome young fella, Bear, came into the shelter on August 29, 2025 as a stray. His owner never came to reclaim him—but we believe that’s because his real forever family hasn’t met him yet. Maybe that’s you! 🐶💙 Bear is a 2-year-old bundle of energy, current on all his vaccinations, and ready to find a loving, committed home that will keep him safe, secure, and off the streets for good. While he’s been a familiar face at the shelter over the past year, we know this smart, playful boy has so much potential. He just needs someone who’s willing to give him a chance—and a little guidance. 🦴 What Bear Needs: ✨ A dedicated owner to help him with manners and basic training ✨ A loving home full of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement ✨ Someone who sees the amazing adult dog he’s becoming Bear is eager to learn and aims to please—he just needs the right person or people to help him become the best version of himself. He’s got a heart full of love and is waiting for someone to share it with. 💛 Could Bear be your next adventure buddy? Stop by the shelter and meet him today! 🛡️ Pet Owner Tip: Don't forget to protect your pets with yearly veterinary care and monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Just one mosquito bite can transmit heartworms—but one small chew a month can protect your pup for life. 🦟❤️ Let’s keep them safe, healthy, and loved—just like Bear deserves. 🐾

Story
BugZ is a 5-year-old male with the characteristics of being affectionate, friendly, curious, loyal, quiet, and handsome. BugZ was brought to the shelter on April 21, 2025 when his family could no longer keep him. Bugz initially has a shy and quiet personality but is slowly opening up to people. Just a bit sad and down on his luck. He is a sweet boy who is loyal to those who care for him. Because he came in shy and unsure of shelter life, he may take some time to fully adjust to a new home with new people but rest assured he will be a loyal companion and is worth every minute you invest with him. BugZ is a big boy full of love to give and is hoping to find his forever home soon. His sweetness will blossom once in a home where he feels a sense of security and love. Maybe you're perfect for BugZ?!

Story
This is Conor. He’s 5 years old. He is a silly boy. He would do well as a single pet home. (He’s not the best at making friends with other fur kids). He is eager to please and would likely train well. He picks up on things very quickly. He’s a big boy and a bit bouncy so older kids would be better than littles. He is up to date and on heart worm meds. **Conor is not at CCHS. If you are interested in learning more or adopting Conor please email cchsshelter@yahoo.com. We will get you in contact with the owner**
