🐾 Meet Bear – Your Future Best Friend! 🐾 This handsome young fella, Bear, came into the shelter on August 29, 2025 as a stray. His owner never came to reclaim him—but we believe that’s because his real forever family hasn’t met him yet. Maybe that’s you! 🐶💙 Bear is a 2-year-old bundle of energy, current on all his vaccinations, and ready to find a loving, committed home that will keep him safe, secure, and off the streets for good. While he’s been a familiar face at the shelter over the past year, we know this smart, playful boy has so much potential. He just needs someone who’s willing to give him a chance—and a little guidance. 🦴 What Bear Needs: ✨ A dedicated owner to help him with manners and basic training ✨ A loving home full of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement ✨ Someone who sees the amazing adult dog he’s becoming Bear is eager to learn and aims to please—he just needs the right person or people to help him become the best version of himself. He’s got a heart full of love and is waiting for someone to share it with. 💛 Could Bear be your next adventure buddy? Stop by the shelter and meet him today! 🛡️ Pet Owner Tip: Don't forget to protect your pets with yearly veterinary care and monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Just one mosquito bite can transmit heartworms—but one small chew a month can protect your pup for life. 🦟❤️ Let’s keep them safe, healthy, and loved—just like Bear deserves. 🐾

Story
Meet Sweet Callie! 🐾 Callie is a 14-year-young sweetheart who came into the shelter on October 15, 2025, along with her beloved sister, Aurora, after their owner sadly passed away. With no one left to care for them, these two girls suddenly found themselves without the only home they’ve ever known. Despite the heartbreak, Callie has remained a gentle and loyal soul with a surprising pep in her step. She's a calm, loving companion who enjoys the simple pleasures in life—especially staying close to her sister. Callie does have some hearing loss, but she takes her cues from Aurora and continues to navigate the world with quiet strength and grace. She’s housebroken, affectionate, and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can be pampered and loved through her golden years. While Callie would be grateful for any soft bed and kind heart, it would be a dream come true if she could spend the rest of her life alongside Aurora. Come meet Callie (and Aurora!)—you might just fall in love with this precious pair. 💛

Story
This is Conor. He’s 5 years old. He is a silly boy. He would do well as a single pet home. (He’s not the best at making friends with other fur kids). He is eager to please and would likely train well. He picks up on things very quickly. He’s a big boy and a bit bouncy so older kids would be better than littles. He is up to date and on heart worm meds. **Conor is not at CCHS. If you are interested in learning more or adopting Conor please email cchsshelter@yahoo.com. We will get you in contact with the owner**
