Story
LULU's SAYS MEET MACK! Who's your buddy? Look at that face. MACK looks like he is ready to be your playmate and best friend. MACK is approximately 5 month old, 30lbs, male Labbie / Collie (we think).  MACK is friendly and sweet and good with other dogs. MACK is currently at a high kill shelter in the south and we are getting more information on him. Please check back. A home with a youthful resident dog is preferred but not mandatory for this sweet puppy.   MACK is up to date on age appropriate vaccines. He is not yet neutered. This adoption fee is $575 which includes a spay/neuter fee. Please note that training is strongly recommended for all dogs.  As with all rescue animals, breed determination cannot be validated without genetic testing.  Visit WWW.LULUSRESCUE.ORG and click on the ADOPT tab for an overview of the Lulu's Rescue adoption process.  Thank you for adopting and saving a life -- you are MACK's hero!April 23, 2024, 10:59 am

Story
Arty is an adorable 5 month old little 26 lb peanut. He is probably a lab terrier mix and is the absolute sweetest pup. He loves hanging out with his humans and exploring. So far we know Arty is crate trained and potty trained and has done great meeting other dogs. He loves to follow his people and will jump up on the couch for a snuggle with you anytime. His foster mama is already in love with his pretty eyes .. he will put you under his spell immediately! Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to meet Arty!  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the  "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us atAlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 15, 2024, 10:55 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED FOR MAGGIE! Maggie is a 5-6 month old, 40+ lb lab mix ready to find her forever home! Maggie is starting off her journey with a toolbox full of skills - she walks well on a leash and is crate trained and housebroken. She sleeps in her crate overnight and is used to being in there for a partial workday, about 4-5 hours. She is moderate energy overall and girl loves her naps as much as she loves her snacks. She’s very treat motivated! Maggie isn’t much of a cuddle bug, but looks to her people for guidance in new situations. She’s a growing girl and we expect her to be a large size as an adult. She gets along with lots of dogs, but not all, so it will be important for her and a resident dog to meet to make sure they hit it off before adoption. Slow intros are always recommended when adding a new furry friend to your pack. Maggie would also be content as a one and only. She is currently living with kids and just adores them so she checks ‘kid friendly’ on the list. And she’s a total hit with everyone she meets around the neighborhood. Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to meet miss Maggie! She will be a fabulous addition to one loving family.  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
