Story
Parker is an extremely sweet and lovely young guy looking for his forever family! He is just under 2 years old and is a black lab mix weighing in at around 50-55 lbs. His little underbite gives him a bit of an adorable pouting face but we promise he is a happy, silly and loving boy. Parker has a nice disposition and is not overly energetic. He enjoys a romp in the yard and/or walk with his people and then will happily cozy up in a dog bed. He also is good at occupying himself with toys. Parker gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats! Additionally, this handsome fellow is crate trained, house trained and walks nicely on a leash. Parker could use a little encouragement in new situations but learns and adjusts quickly. However, he would like you to know that he does find the vacuum very scary. He rides very nicely and politely in the car but the windy PA roads have made him car sick on a few occasions. Parker is as sweet as they come and would love to find a family to love and spoil him! He will give you plenty of love and affection in return. If you are interested in this wonderful guy please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!!
