Story
Available for adoption! From being abandoned in a lonely parking to the warmth of a foster home, Dolly is the definition of resilience. Despite a tough prior life, this 1-2 year old girl has nothing but love to give. She’s 23lbs of joy (aiming for a healthy 30lbs with some yummy food and TLC).    Dolly is playful with dogs  and enjoys time in the yard with her foster home fur siblings. She appreciates  slow introductions to other dogs so she isn't too overwhelmed.  She has been sweet and gentle with the kids she has met so far .    This sweet little girl has been great in her crate overnight and when her foster family isn't home. She also has been so good and has done all of her pottying outside so far. This lovely lady is ready to leave her last behind! Who needs a 'Dolly' in their life?   If you are interested in Dolly please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to get an application!    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Story
Meet DINGO! Dingo’s favorite things are snuggling, playing fetch, and chew toys; in that order! At 2 ½ years old, 44 lbs, he has the maturity to focus and learn new things, offering just the right amount of curiosity and puppy energy. Dingo is completely crate trained, and sleeps through the night without a peep. He is patient in the morning, waiting for his turn to be let out and fed; and happily returns to the crate when directed. Dingo is social, smart, energetic, sweet, and easily redirected. He has his high energy moments, but settles back down easily, and can even be, at times, quite the couch potato. He adjusts to new routines quickly and will be an easy dog to train. Dingo is almost fully house trained as long as he has enough time outside. He is well behaved on a leash, and even off the leash, he is responsive and comes when called.  Even so, we are not completely sure if he knows his name; so if his family chooses to give him a new one, he will adjust easily. Dingo loves everyone and everything, and is just the happiest, most adaptable dog. He LOVES all toys, especially antlers, Nyla bones, and his Kong knot teddy. Although he likes to collect them in his crate throughout the day, he is not overly protective of them and enjoys sharing. He is still getting to know cats, and will occasionally toss a toy to them, but then backs off when they don’t reciprocate. Beyond cats, he loves kids and gets along and is respectful of other dogs. He would benefit from playmates who match his energy, though. It is hard to spend time with Dingo and NOT fall in love with him.  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Story
Luke is an incredibly lovable Beagle/Lab mix (born October 2022) who has spent almost his whole life in foster care. We adore him, but we spent the last 4 years helping him with his confidence in order to be able to go to a forever home. Luke is on daily Prozac, which keeps him feeling steady and confident. With his medication, he is sweet, gentle, and very affectionate. He LOVES to cuddle and will happily be your shadow once he trusts you. He is good with kids and other dogs, and actually learns best by following the lead of another calm, confident dog but this isn't absolutely necessary. Luke is naturally nervous, he needs someone patient and consistent. Changes and transitions must be done slowly to help him feel safe but once he does he is great! We would love to make this transition slowly with a trial day or whatever works best to make sure its the perfect fit for both Luke and his new family. I am limited on characters in this box so please contact me for more!

Story
We are looking to rehome our labordoodle/mix. Carson is 8 1/2 years old but don’t let age fool you. He is as active and playful as he was when he was a puppy. Has not lost one step and is in excellent physical health. Let’s start with the good. He is an incredibly friendly, loving and cuddly animal. He is good with other dogs. Doesn’t bite. Barks and whimpers when he sees other dogs but nonaggressive. Sometimes he tries to mount larger dogs. Great with adults and kids. He’ll play fetch or tug of war all day. And lounge/cuddle at night. It’s his greatest quality. Good car rider. We are rehoming him because we moved into a new home and have new jobs which require us to be away from him for most of the day. He has not adjusted well. SEVERE separation anxiety sends him into panic leading him on a path of home and self destruction. We’ve tried everything to get him out of it. He needs a family that is more present to support his need to be with someone or a brilliant, experience pet owner.
