Story
Hardy is an amazing, loyal companion. He’s a very good listener and would do anything for his owner. He’s intimidating at times but is just a sweet heart in a bears body! Hardy has never bit a single human being ever, but will protect you if need be. He’s a great dog to go on runs/walks with, hunt, camp, and especially play fetch with in a river or lake. Unfortunately I am moving and cannot take him across country with me and I do not have much family close. Rehoming fee can be lowered but is high to show seriousness of the adopter. Ps, Hardy is not fixed, he’s 2 years old and I did not believe in altering his natural manhood. Please help me get hardy into a home, farm, energetic family. Thank you.

Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Strong, happy-go-lucky, energetic and playful! Thoroughly enjoys tug-of-war and fetch. Will need some tuning up on his manners; at this time, he’s a busybody and wants to know what is on countertops, has an interest in trash cans. He is very treat-motivated, but snappy when taking food from your hand. Would most likely be too overwhelming for smaller children. He could also could use some practice walking nicely on the leash. He’s a smart dog and catches on to things rather quickly. He loves neck scratches and is ever so sweet. He will sit at your feet for affection. He would most likely chase a cat, but is friendly toward the other dogs here at the shelter. Knows the sit, down and drop commands. Weighs 67 pounds; $25 to adopt.
