Story
Gonzo Chihuahua Male DOB: 4/1/2017Adoption Fee: $200Gonzo is a sweet, well mannered boy looking for a place to call his very own! Gonzo is a cuddly boy who wants to be loved on and would be happy to have someone who wants a lap dog! He enjoys to be in the sunshine and would enjoy a place to lounge and sit with you! Gonzo is heartworm positive and will need a quiet, peaceful place to stay. He will start his Heartworm treatment in the fall and it will be completely paid for by the Humane Society. If you think Gonzo would be a sweet addition to your family, please come by and meet him! You will not be disappointed! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Meet Lucy and Ethel! --1.5 years old (est. DOB 12/2022) --18 pounds --Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped --Potty trained --Dog friendly --Possibly cat friendly (lived in short term foster with cats) *Ethel had her eye removed due to an injury sustained on the streets. Lucy and Ethel are the perfect bonded pair! They had a rough start to life being dumped and discarded like trash, but have blossomed in their foster home. They are small in size, quiet, and loving. They have excellent manners in the home, eager to please and quick to learn commands and rules of the house. Both girls love attention, to be petted, and give lots of kisses. They are still shy around new people, but they warm up pretty quickly. They love to run around and play with other dogs, and even respect correction from a "grouchy" foster sibling. They are easy-going, loving, playful and full of joy! Whether they're cozied up with their foster siblings or lying out in the sun, they are such happy girls! Note from their nail trim visit: “With all my years in animal shelters and working with rescues, I've never met a more docile and easy going pair.” Available for Adoption or Foster-To-Adopt (FTA). FTA is fostering with the intentions of adopting if all goes well during a two week, commitment-free "trial run". Lucy and Ethel's adoption fee is $400 (together, for both). VIDEOS: bit.ly/lucyethelvideos ADOPTION APPLICATION: joyspromise.org/adopt -- Note: If you are interested in meeting Lucy and Ethel, please complete an adoption application through our website. The first thing we do with inquires is send a link to complete an application. Avoid delays by completing an application today! Thank you!

Story
Emerald and her sister Snowy were recently surrendered by their owner due to no longer being able to take care of them.  They are very sweet and affectionate, to humans but do not enjoy other dogs or cats!  Partially house trained, but we believe they could be trained when given more structure and a routine.  If you'd like to meet emerald or snowy or both, pls apply to adopt at buttsmutts.com   ##2010904##
