Precious BamBam was found in the middle of the road with his injured mom and 3 siblings because their owner could no longer care for them properly. Regardless of his unstable beginnings, BamBam holds no grudges and loves to soak up all the attention he can get! He loves playing with toys and is learning to walk politely on a leash. Little BamBam's mom is a chihuahua, approximately 12 pounds fully grown, so his expected adult weight is less than 20 pounds. BamBam is a shy guy in new situations but warms up quickly and loves to snuggle and give kisses!

Story
Name: SnackBreed: Chihuahua mixSex/Age/Weight: Male/estimated DOB 09/2024/ about 10 poundsVetting: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives House trained/Crate Trained: Working on house training; needs to be placed in crate at night but he settles down in a few minutes and sleeps through the night.Dogs/Cats/Children: Lives with other dogs; there are cats in another room, but when we’ve walked him through, he ignores them; no childrenEnergy Level: Energetic puppy, but he’ll settle and sit next to his foster mom after a bit of roughhousing with our resident dog. Before FAR/My History: Unknown except he lived with A LOT of dogs.Working on: House training, walking on leash, and knowing his nameThings I like: Playing with his brothers (foster and biological)Things I don’t like: Loud noisesThings that make my humans happy: Snack and his brother sure are cute!Ideal Family/Home: We’d love it if he and his brother Pinto were adopted together, but that’s not a requirement. Having a friendly resident dog would be ideal, so he learns how to be a dog.Special Notes: Snack and his brother Pinto are blind, but they really don’t let that get in their way. They use the steps to get on and off the bed several times a day. They wrestle and play like sighted puppies, but they’re more tactile and miss visual cues. Snack is more outgoing and initiates play.If you are interested in giving Snack a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. *When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt however it does reserve for you the opportunity to adopt that particular animal. We review them on a first come first served basis. If your application is approved, we will contact you and allow you the opportunity to adopt. If you choose not to adopt, we will contact the next approved applicant. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact us and we will be glad to help!http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Ludi is a very special case in that he needs someone who is patient and willing to put in the time to gain his trust. When he does finally find his person, I know his hard-earned love is going to be so rewarding. Because he was severely neglected and needs help regaining trust, Ludi needs time, patience, understanding, and a loving yet calm environment . He has recently moved into a new foster placement that is a bit quieter than his last, so we are hopeful that this will help Ludi feel more comfortable and help bring him out of his shell. Do you have a calm environment to help him work thru his trust issues? Could you help him become a dog that he deserves to be? We are out of options and need some guidance and help!! If you have a loving, quiet environment and have patience that you are willing to give him, we would LOVE to see this outcome as a success ~ please consider if you fit this criteria!! Ludi is a young, 15lbs, fully vetted male that we feel would excel in a less chaotic environment. All he needs is time to come around and show you just how special he truly is.

ChiccoMaleChihuahua MixDOB: 7/4/23Adoption Fee: $200Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice.
