Story
***Junior is currently located at SoCo Rescue in Tarrytown, GA and can be transported to the Flemington, NJ area for our monthly adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ. Applications for adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com by clicking on the "Adopt" tab (no need to "Register" or "Login"). Questions should be submitted at socorescue8@gmail.com. (No phone calls please).*** Junior and the nine other dogs lived within a small area enclosed by chicken wire and had absolutely no place that would provide them with shelter from rain and a nasty storm about to hit the area. SoCo Rescue President and CEO Scott Bennett was able to convince the man that his best option, at that moment, was to willfully surrender all 10 of his dogs to SoCo Rescue. We are calling this litter the Vidalia 10. From the moment these dogs were lifted over the fencing at their former home, they have begun a new love affair with life! Where there was once hopelessness, there is now joy. And they found that some people actually like to receive the love they have to offer. Thankfully, they are all very accepting of new people, should do fine in a home with responsible children and would love a nice big yard to run and play in. They will need some work on house and leash training. While he is a Chihuahua mix, Junior doesn't have those typical Chihuahua behavioral characteristics that only a true lover of the breed can tolerate. He's not overly vocal, stubborn or needy and demanding. Junior prefers to live his life much calmer, quieter and with a greater show of affection that you'll find in most Chihuahua's. He loves to snuggle, is very playful and gets along great with other dog, especially female dogs. He will make a great family companion and should do very well around children who know how to properly handle a small dog. Junior has been neutered, received an update on his annual vaccinations, de--wormed and treated for parasites. He's also been restarted on his monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. He did test negative for heart worms during his recent vet visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2023, 7:41 pm
