But somehow, despite her bubbly spirit, contagious energy, and tail that never stops wagging, she hasn’t found her people yet! Meet Georgie — the little old man with all the love to give Georgie is a 15-year-old long-haired chihuahua searching for someone to cherish him through his golden years. This tiny gentleman is ready to settle into his true forever home. He’s extremely low-maintenance and surprisingly healthy for his age. Most days, you’ll find Georgie curled up in his bed or stretched out in a sunny spot, soaking up the warmth. But don’t be fooled—he has a goofy, playful side and loves little bursts of fun with his person! Georgie is friendly with dogs of all sizes and even enjoys the company of cats.And… let’s just say he could win an Oscar for the dramatic performances he gives when he doesn’t get his way. A few tiny screams and he’s over it—but he’ll definitely make you laugh. He truly needs someone who can be his daily companion and appreciate both his love and his theatrics. Georgie’s forever home wish list: A fenced yard (he’s not really used to leash life) A home without young children, or with kids in high school or older (he’s gentle, just easily startled) Someone who will let him sleep in the bed—just like he does with his foster family. He is an excellent nighttime snuggle buddy. If you’re looking for a senior sweetheart with charm, personality, and just a pinch of drama, Georgie might be your perfect match. Meet Chia Seed! Chia is a TINY chihuahua! She’s is about 5-6 years old and weighs 5 pounds. She takes time to adjust to new people and new environments. Once comfortable, her kennel is her safe space when left open, but she prefers to follow around & cuddle both her people and her housemates. Chia Seed, despite her small size and our human desire to dress her up, hates clothing! Her foster mom has put her in different sweaters, collar, harnesses, and outfits and honestly, she hates all of them. She will tolerate wearing them for a short period of time, but she tries vigorously to get them off of her. Chia Seed came to us with a number of other Chihuahua and Chihuahua mixes earlier in the year from a hoarding case after her original owner passed away. She was living outside of the abandoned house in the trash and had to fend for herself with the other dogs. Despite this, she is extremely sweet and matches her person’s energy. She loves cuddles and turns into a ball of energy once her person returns home. She is still working a dual-method potty training (outside & potty pads), since she cannot hold her bladder for long periods of time due to her size. Chia Seed can be cage reactive to new people, new four-legged friends, and other unfamiliar stimuli. She got a dental with us, but she has ongoing dental disease that will need yearly dentals and continuous care/monitoring. She is looking for the best home!
