Story
Meet our sweet easy-going boy, Clover! Clover is believed to be a year-old Chihuahua boy on the smaller side weighing just 6 pounds upon arrival. Clover is searching for his forever mommy and or daddy. Clover is an easy pup. He is crate and house-trained and gets along with dogs of all sizes and cats too. He has a known reputation for being an excellent snuggle buddy. Also a mol dog. He enjoys the calmer side of life with some fun. He's not boring just simple. He can be a little shy and somewhat timid but warms up quickly. Clover is a nice friendly chihuahua unlike most. He has a very sweet happy and playful personality. Clover also loves food, all foods, this makes him super easy to train making it fun! His favorite dog beds are cacoon-like where he can burrow in. You will always find him buried in his favorite bed or anywhere that is cave-like. Clover is NOT a morning dog and sleeping in is pleasurable. Clover came to us as an owner surrender with Lucy his mom. She has since been adopted but he is still waiting for his happy forever people to adopt him. Clover is dog friendly and on the submissive end so a playful buddy be best. Here he loves Snoop Dogg and 10k. That's his gang. A fenced-in yard is preferred and a family who understands small dog etiquette and safety. Condo and apartment living are welcome to apply. Clover is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona and 1 or 3-year rabies,  dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter. Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again.  Donation of their choice is welcomed. Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must. Adoption process information can be found on our website www.animalhousesanctuary.org The Adoption Fee of $425 covers all of the above and everyday needs/care. Update 6/25/2023

Story
Meet Remy Pasqual! He is believed to be a 4-year-old Jack Russell Chihuahua blend. Never enough love can ever be too much. Remy needs his happiness forever. He's been with me for 3 years and yes he had major behavior issues but that's no longer who he is. He lives to be touched by everyone, loved, good with dogs and cats, and ok as an only dog too. He is active love being active outdoors chills indoors, enjoys swimming hiking trails adventures boat rides, and has been canoeing and loved it. He is amazingly easy-trained and exceptionally off-leash trained. Lives agility and car rides. Yeah, he's a bit clingy but people enjoy this. Can guard his humans if his humans allow it. Hates his nails trimmed and is not a fan of baths but not hard if it means showering with his ppl. Remy is extraordinarily motivated by love, affection, praise, and food. He loves to be held or happily not being held. He is dramatic emotionally driven by passion and falls deeply in love. If this is you, all this ☝️ but feel he won't keep up with you during outdoor adventures. Yeah, he will. Remy can walk 5 miles without effort. I guarantee he can run them too if build-up to it. He is a very proud pup and always so eager to please. Remy is somewhat ADHD, and a goof at times, and can come across as neurotic with his silly dramatic personality but he is not. Remy enjoys his training sessions and learning new things. He enjoys showing off his tricks and obedience training every chance he can. Remy is a social butterfly fueled but love. Remy has been with us for over 3 years and at first, he required a lot of work. But im happy I accepted the challenge. His energy is charismatic. We help switch his mindset with socialization, training, and discovery of what he enjoyed which made training fun. Remy is great with dogs, and cats, and adores every human he meets. He is extremely smart and appreciates his daily walks, training sessions are always fun, and learning new tricks is his joy. Remy is also a sweetheart and loves to snuggle and loved on. He is obsessed with his super mutt harness and cape. It's his comfort wear. Remy is crate and house-trained but does well with a belly band. Remy is incredible at agility, a running friend, and cycling is perpetually fun! He loves to be active and loves learning even more. Remy enjoys city strolls and cafe shops, a good run of spooning comfortably shrugged in hour arms binge-watching Netflix. He's the best of both worlds. Remy is a very affectionate pup and more so of a Velcro dog but on the active side. Remy has a cute funny prankster personality. He enjoys speaking which comes across as intimidating but it's nothing more than him communicating. He smiles and shows off his pearly whites. He does this when asked or if he wants someone's attention. Remy enjoys playing with his toys too. Remy is known as a positive-natured outdoor activity fun little dude. What he does not care for is baths but does ok, sleeping in is no fun but he snuggles or is ignored. Remy is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies,  dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption,  and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Story
Meet baby Grey!! He is 1 of the 5 chihuahua puppies. Grey is a bit over 3 pounds and ever so gentle and a huge sweetheart. He is sensitive, shy, can be timid, and still exploring his personality. What he is for sure is a sweet amazing happy and mega snuggler. Grey is a joy, he loves exploring, and he enjoys the zoomies. Learning to share and play too. Grey is sensitive easy going peaceful and happy to be but lacks patience and gets frustrated easily when it comes to his brothers. Who can blame him? He is playful and happy and sweet and loves giving us kisses. He's a submissive one who enjoys meeting new people as well as cats and dogs. He plays with Forest because he can be gentle and Forest needs gentle. But he and Cyan bud head and argue verbally always 🤣. Such little dogs with huge personalities. They sound like aliens 😂. He is also very food motivated. He is all about snuggles and cuddles. Very sweet and playful with us humans too. We are accepting applications for Foster to adopt. Another dog in the home is suggested and small breed experience knowledge is preferred. A secure fence in the yard, as well as an outdoor pen, is required. Why, well he's only 3 pounds and won't be much bigger. Amongst many good reasons for his safety. Grey is doing well with house and crate training, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Story
I have had Tito for 7 years, since I was a kid. Now that I’m an adult I am no longer able to take care of him because of how busy I am with work. My grandma can no longer help me because she’s getting older. Tito is 8 years old and is very loving. He loves playing with little kids and loves attention. He needs someone who can be there with him most of the time. He does fine alone at home. He is potty trained and will go on potty pads too if needed. He can be scared of tall men at first but will warm up to most of them.
