Story
Name: Snowball Breed Guess: Chihuahua mix Age: 2 years old Gender: Male Weight: 10.3 pounds Adoption fee: $395 plus a $50 refundable deposit Am I good with: Children: Yes, respectful kids Cats: We can test upon request Dogs: Yes, Meet and Greet Required About Me: Hi there! I'm a small guy with a big heart. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but give me just a little time and you'll see my sweet side shine through. Once I feel safe, I love nothing more than curling up close and asking for belly rubs - they're my favorite! I'm just looking for someone who's patient and kind and will let me love them in my own gentle way. My new family should be ready for the possibility that I might need potty, leash, and training as the ARP doesn't know what skills I've learned in the past. My brother Socks who is in foster shoes that be has a sense of potty and leash skills, but any family should be ready for accidents and setbacks with everything being so new. I've been at the ARP since 9/6/25 and I'm currently located at the ARP. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan

Story
Chug Charlie was relinquished by no fault of his own. This is a nice boy who is good with other dogs & with people. He is very sweet but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 11/11/21 and he currently weighs 12.4#. We are guessing at his breed make up. His foster reports him house trained, crate trained and good with cats. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is heart worm and tick born illness negative. He had a dental with extractions. His adoption donation is $400 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. Please note that any additional funding collected for this pet goes back into our medical acct. to provide for other dogs in need. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##2564014##
