*** ADELIA IS BEING FOSTERED IN LA FERIA, TEXAS *** Adelia is a stunning 14 lb terrier mix who came into rescue emaciated and had clearly been through a lot. She came to us dangerously underweight, and while she's doing beautifully now, she still eats like every meal might be her last. She is very food motivated. She has now fully embraced the good life and is thriving. She is active, playful, and deeply entertaining, the kind of dog that will have you smiling on a daily basis just by existing. Adelia is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Adelia tested positive for heartworms but has since finished treatment. One of her most charming quirks? Adelia has a very unique way of moving through the world. She hops, she trots, she loves to run and play with toys. This little girl will be happiest in a home that can keep up with her energy. She is also doing wonderfully with potty training and gets along great with other dogs. Now, Adelia is not a cuddle bug, but don't mistake independence for indifference. She will settle in right next to you and happily soak up a good face scratch. That's her love language, and it's pretty adorable. Adelia needs an active, patient adopter who appreciates a little dog with a big personality. She does well with adults and other dogs, though we don't yet know how she feels about cats or small children. She is quirky. She is beautiful. She cant wait to find her furever home!
