Story
Trixie is an affectionate and attentive young lady who plays hard and sleeps hard. She enjoys playing tug of war with her toys and is so friendly to everyone who greets her. She knows her name and will come running with a huge "smile" on her snout. Trixie is a lover ❤️, and is more motivated by praise than treats. She will sit when asked and rings the bell hanging on our front door when she hears the words "bye, bye". She's working on puppy pad training and is making real progress with occasional "oopsie" moments. Trixie is a great cuddler and enjoys watching The Dog whisperer with her foster mom. She gets along great with other dogs and is a sweet little teddy bear to everyone. Barking mostly when she is excitedly playing, but otherwise a quiet baby. Trixie will play independently throughout the day, throwing and retrieving her favorite toys 🧸. All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Meet Brownie 🤎 Brownie is a sweet recent mama who’s finished raising her puppies and is now ready to begin a brand-new chapter, one that’s all about her. She’s gentle, loving, and has a wonderful balance of independence and affection. Brownie enjoys exploring with the other pups around the barn, but she’s never far from her people for long. She’s also been wonderful with cats and other dogs, making her an easy addition to a multi-pet home. When adventure time is over, Brownie is all about the snuggles. She loves being held and cuddling on the couch, soaking up every bit of affection she can get. With her calm, sweet nature, she would be a great fit for a family with kids. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who’s ready to leave mom-life behind and settle into a loving home, Brownie could be the perfect match. 🐾💛 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
The Couch Potato Queen 👑 If there was an award for “Couch Potato of the Year,” RuPaul would already have it framed and hanging above her favorite nap spot. This sweet little lady is as mellow as they come and lives for the simple joys in life: a comfy couch, a cozy bed, and pets galore while she relaxes beside you. Ru is a very low-maintenance girl who thrives on quiet companionship. She doesn’t need grand adventures to be happy, just someone sitting next to her, offering soft pets and a loving presence. She absolutely loves sleeping in bed with her person and will happily snuggle in for a full night of cozy comfort. While she now enjoys her walks (even if she sometimes needs a little encouragement to get started 😉), Ru is perfectly content with a laid-back routine. She’s good with other dogs, generally mellow as can be, though she does appreciate a proper bark at the window now and then just to keep the neighborhood in check. Ru would be a wonderful match for anyone looking for gentle, low-maintenance companionship. She’s the kind of dog who simply wants to adore and be adored, the sweetest little shadow you could ask for. If you’re ready to dote on the sweetest girl on earth, RuPaul is ready to claim her throne in your heart. 💕 ** Ru came into rescue with a severe skin infection. While the infection has cleared, it’s left her with some hairless patches. Some of her hair may grow back with time. ** All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Meet Jinx! Around here, we call him Jinxy — and this 2-month-old cutie is full of personality, playfulness, and puppy charm. Jinx is a sweet, loyal little guy who loves being near his people and happily settles in for snuggles after a good play session. He has that perfect mix of affectionate and fun that makes puppyhood so special. Playtime is serious business for Jinx — especially when a rope toy is involved! He lives for a good tug-of-war and brings the cutest bouncy energy to every game. Whether he’s romping around with other pups or exploring his surroundings, he’s always ready to join the action. He’s doing well with puppy pads and is just starting to learn pottying outside like a big boy. Right now he prefers a puppy pen over a crate, but he’s young and eager to learn with consistency and patience. Jinx does great with: ✔️ Other puppies ✔️ Large dogs ✔️ Kids as young as 2 If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup who will grow into your loyal little sidekick, Jinx is ready to steal the spotlight in your home 💙🐾 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi… I’m Chico. And Yes, I Know I’m a Little Different. Hi there. I’m Chico. I’m a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger list of quirks. Once upon a time, I had a back injury that healed but left me moving in my own… unique style. My foster mom says I sometimes resemble the little hand from The Adams Family. I’m still not totally sure what that means, but I’ve decided to take it as a compliment. I’m not your “normal” dog. I’m more like a quiet little creature who wants a cozy life, a calm home, and someone who thinks weird is wonderful. About Me I enjoy: Peace Quiet Soft beds Predictable dinners I do not enjoy: Chaos Noise Being rushed Walking fast Walking at all, actually I’m a low-maintenance guy, as long as your definition of low-maintenance includes carrying me outside to pee like a tiny, judgmental prince. The Potty Talk (Here We Go…) Let’s start with the poop, because why not? My poop looks like rabbit turds. Yes, really. Those tiny little pellets. So honestly… is it that bad? I mean, if I must poop indoors when the weather is too cold, too hot, too wet, too windy, or just generally offensive—at least I’m offering rabbit-sized cleanup. That’s thoughtful of me, right? When it comes to peeing, things make a little more sense. In my previous adoptive home, I was peeing constantly. Vet tests were done, but nothing abnormal showed up. Back with my foster mom, as long as she carries me out often, I do really well. I can even sleep through the entire night accident-free! But if I’m left for long periods during the day… mistakes happen. I’m just being honest. The Food Situation (This Is Serious) Now, listen closely: I am PICKY Capital P. Bolded. Underlined. My mom has me on this special food—rice and chicken or rice and lamb by Kona—and I love it. Until I don’t. And then I will absolutely turn my nose up at it, push the bowl away, and go on a full hunger strike like a tiny dramatic artist. So, extremely important note: Do not stock up on one food. Because as soon as you buy a month’s supply, I will decide—without warning—that I hate it. And then you will have to figure out the next acceptable meal to satisfy His Royal Highness, aka me. Where I Thrive I do best in a home that is: Very quiet Very calm Very patient Maybe has a fenced yard (I potty better off-leash) Has no kids Has someone home often Isn’t looking for a hiking buddy, gym partner, or even a medium-energy dog My Adoption Story I had one adoption that didn’t work out. They tried hard, but my potty quirks were too much for that environment. It made me sad to come back, but I was also relieved to return to the predictable routine of my foster home. Now my foster mom is being super careful to make sure my next home is my forever home. No more bouncing around. I deserve someone who gets me. What I Can Offer You I won’t fetch balls. I won’t do tricks. I won’t hike mountains. I won’t go for long walks. But I will be your quiet, quirky companion. I’ll celebrate dinner with a wiggle. I’ll sleep soundly knowing you’re nearby. And I will love you—with all my little oddities—for the rest of my life. If you read all this and thought, “Honestly? I adore this weird little guy.” …then maybe you’re my person.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there! I’m Zuma, a 14 lb Chihuahua mix and I’m thought to be about 11 years old.  My foster hooman is strongly convinced that I am mostly Corgi.     I live harmoniously with two other small dogs, and several cats.  I get along with everybody, but there is one cat who likes to push my buttons, so I do sometimes chase her and bark at her, but she seems to like it. Lol.   I am house trained, but I have had an accident or two in my foster house. This usually happens on rainy or snowy days when I am too much in a hurry and came inside without doing my business. But let’s talk about what a sweetheart I am!  I love to sit by hooman on the couch, and lay on the bed with the whole crew while watching TV.  I mostly hang out on the couch all day while my hooman works from home, and at night we all sleep in the big bed. My preferred spot is the foot of the bed.    I love to take walks in the neighborhood when the weather is nice.  I don’t have any problems with the harness and leash being put on.  And then I am ready to go!   My foster mom keeps telling me that I am so sweet and I’m going to be the best companion and cuddle-pup to a lucky someone. She says I have the most beautiful eyes and soulful expression, and the cutest curly tail she's ever seen!
