Story
Hello everybody! I am Eloise, nice to meet you! I am looking to move on up with a family of my own, possibly to a DEE-luxe apartment on the east side… or the west side, or north side, or south side. Well, any side would be great as long as I am by your side! My fur is black with a little white stripe down my chest – but you can barely see it when I wear my harness. I love to play with toys (especially whatever toy my sister, Elsie, has), mess up blankets and my dog bed, and practice my high jump. My foster family says I have a lot of puppy energy, which is true, but I am also a fantastic cuddle puppy! I like to find a spot right next to or on top of my human. Ahhh, so relaxing! Anyway, I want to meet you! It could be you and me baby – and there ain’t nothin’ wrong with that! --------------------------------------------"Flash Flood" PromoFor applications received now through 7/28/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups under 6 months old. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below. All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Luna (DOB 1/18/23)! Luna is a charming little bundle of energy who’s ready to find her forever home! This spunky little girl has a personality that shines- she is equal parts silly and cuddly. She gets along great with the dogs in her foster home and adores children. Luna enjoys outdoor adventures-whether exploring the world on a walk or hanging in the backyard. She’s even found out she enjoys a boat ride! To keep Luna from exploring further than she should- she needs to be on a leash, lead or in a fenced yard. Luna LOVES food and is highly treat motivated. After exploring the outdoors and chewing on her toys, she’ll happily curl up with you on the couch for a nap. Luna does bark some when kenneled (and would much rather share your bed at night) but with settle down with a treat filled Kong. If you are looking for a compact dog with the heart of a big dog, that will be a joyful and loyal part of your family, Luna might be the perfect fit! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Tito is a really good girl. She has been in the care of different family members most of her life. She is approx. 12yrs old. She has never been surgically fixed as she was told by a vet she couldn't get pregnant but she was not in my care at that time so I don't know the official reason. She does need some back teeth removed which do cause her issues periodically which should be addressed. She also has partial prolapse trachea which is very common for the breed and makes clearing her throat sound worse than it really is. She is happiest lounging around and burrowing herself into her thrown of blankets or under a blanket on your lap. I don't think she has ever seen herself in the mirror as if any animal or stranger comes in sight she will bark but she stops when you tell her to. Kids are fine but small children need to move slowly. Unfortunately I have severe health issues that will be ongoing and also need new housing but Tito deserves a new loving home and family

Story
HI! I'm Zinnia, I'm from a local shelter. From the foster: Zinnia is very smart and highly food motivated. She likes to sit on the deck. She likes her people to stay in the room where she can keep an eye on them. Zinnia does bark and her bark is rather loud for her size. She prefers women and seems like she'd do best in a home with very stable routines that will help ease her anxiety. Hello! Throughout my veterinary care at Secondhand Hounds, it was discovered I have heart issues. A cardiologist performed an echocardiogram and diagnosed me with aortic valve stenosis and patent ductus arteriosus. I had a Amplatz Canine Duct Occluder procedure completed at the University of Minnesota to help with my heart conditions. I will have a 3 month recheck at the U of M. At that appointment, it will be decided if I need an additional heart procedure. If I am adopted prior to this medical care, SHH will cover my 3 month recheck exam, second heart surgery (if deemed necessary) and my spay surgery at the SHH Vet Center (this will not occur until I am cleared).

Story
Hi! I'm Tiny Batman! I'm from Alabama. From his foster: Tiny Batman is a super sweet and energetic little guy. He's still pretty puppy-like but is such a kind boy. He takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers, but once he does, he gives hugs and kisses and snuggles! He loves to play with toys and run around the yard. He's good with other dogs and is very food motivated, so probably trainable. He's still working on his housetraining, but is making great progress! He is crate trained and sleeps in a crate at night for now while he's housetraining, but like most chihuahuas would prefer to sleep in bed! Tiny Batman has a small amount of separation anxiety and stranger danger, and so probably barks a little too much for a home with shared walls or where there will be lots of neighbors or strangers coming over.
