Cinnamon is a sweet, gentle girl who’s ready to close the chapter on motherhood and finally start a life of her own. She’s been an amazing mom, and now it’s her turn to be loved and spoiled. Cinnamon does very well in her kennel and is always excited to head outside with the others for potty time. She doesn’t run off, comes when called, and is overall a really great, easygoing pup. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and gentle, respectful kids, making her a wonderful fit for many types of homes. Because she’s still decompressing from everything she’s been through, Cinnamon can startle easily and will need a calm, patient home that gives her space and time to settle in. She’s not quite a cuddle-on-the-couch kind of girl yet, being held or sitting close is something she tolerates more than seeks out (for now 😆). With consistency, kindness, and time, her confidence will continue to grow. She has no long or curly hair, but she will steal your heart 💖 One of her favorite activities is cuddling: with people, and even next to a kitty. Other pastimes include dancing on her hind legs & singing the songs of her people in an only key sopranos dare to reach, watching toilets flush, & sunbathing. She does like to dig, unfortunately near the fence line, so should not be outdoors unattended. Also, although she cuddles with sleeping kitties, awake kitties are fair game for tag - something they might not appreciate. Both of these are trainable with this smart pup. Mika is a very sweet, energetic, and playful 2 year old Chihuahua mix. She is equally happy playing with various toys, especially the squeaky ones, as she is just napping nearby. She is house-trained, though can have little accidents if she gets too excited and hasn't been outside in a while. She does well going into her kennel and only gives a little "Sorry to see you're leaving" whimper. She's spent up to 6 hours in her kennel without issue. She has done well with my smaller dog and is cautiously curious about my two cats, though I can tell she'd really like to play along with them. She loves going on walks and goes to the end of the leash without pulling. She has done well during the one car ride so far. No barking, rather just checking out both windows and lying down on the seat. She has learned to sit and lie down on command so far. She loves getting the treats included with the training. Sam came into rescue with his Pomeranian fur brother after their owner was evicted. He was the mighty protecter of his shy brother. He can be a little nippy in the beginning until he feels safe, so we would recommend a home with older children. He loves to go on car rides and leash walks. He has finally learned to go for a potty break off leash in the fenced yard. He has now been completely vetted. He did wear a belly band until after he was neutered to stop marking. He loves to run and play chase with the other small dogs. He seems to prefer the ladies. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
