His doctor says he should lose about 5 pounds, but Whitey would like it noted that he is simply “fluffy with confidence.” This short-legged gentleman came from a quiet life as a devoted little old lady’s lap dog, and honestly? He took that job very seriously. Now he’s ready to clock back in as a full-time snuggle professional in a new home. Whitey may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a minute (and maybe a cozy lap), and he’ll melt into you like a warm, slightly overweight burrito. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and would do best with older, respectful kids who understand that cardio is… optional. Fred the Headrest: Part-Time Goof, Full-Time Lover Hi, I’m Fred… aka your new favorite accessory 💛 At around 2 years old, I’m the perfect mix of playful pup and professional snuggler. I’ve got the heart of a puppy and the soul of a couch potato. I am 27 lb. My love language? Gentle little puppy nibbles (you know, the “I love you” kind) followed by lots of kisses. And when I say I love to cuddle… I mean it. I don’t just enjoy snuggles—I commit to them. I’ll find any way to be close to you, including sleeping on your shoulder… your chest… or even your head. Honestly, I identify as a weighted blanket. When I’m not perfecting my snuggle skills, I enjoy the occasional zoomie session—but let’s be real, my true passion is couch potato life right next to my human. I do really well in my crate but I would rather be out next to my human. Car rides? I love them! My foster mom’s put me in a crate in the car to bring me home and I fell asleep! I do amazing with other dogs, especially ones my size, and I’m always up for a good wrestling match! Bigger dogs can make me a little nervous at first, so I might bark if I’m startled (no surprise parties, please). But give me a few minutes and I warm up quickly—then it’s game on and I’m ready to play. I am potty trained but had one accident in my foster mom's house but once I figured out what door I needed to go to and sit at to let my foster mom know I needed to go I was good! I’m not sure how I do with cats or kids as there are none that I’ve come into contact with but my foster moms house says I’m so friendly and snuggly she doubts there will be a problem. But new things can scare me a bit so easing into it would be best! My journey started in Oklahoma, where I was rescued from a kill shelter alongside Barney and Wilma (don’t worry—we’re not a package deal). We were strays running together. Now I’m ready for the best upgrade yet: a forever home. My dream home? I’m looking for a cozy, loving home where snuggles are a top priority and personal space is optional. I’d do great with a laid-back family who enjoys a mix of playtime and couch time. A fenced-in backyard where I can safely run and enjoy some zoomies would be ideal, but I also love walks and I’m leash trained. A dog my size to wrestle with would be a bonus, and slow introductions to bigger dogs help me feel comfortable and confident. Most importantly, I’m hoping for a home where I can stay close to my people and be their loyal, goofy cuddle buddy. I ignore cats and am good with kids as well. Wrangler is making the trek to Minnesota to find his forever home! After a mysterious situation where he would eat a lot but not gain weight, he was surrendered into rescue. Upon further investigation, it was found that he has a (super manageable) condition called EPI (Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). He gets a powder sprinkled on his meals and is good to go! This will be important to maintain his health for the rest of his days. This doesn't slow Wrangler down one bit! He is a bouncy fun-loving and playful guy who enjoys teasing the new pups in the home and romping around with ANYONE that will play with him. He is super friendly, eager to please, goofy and even knows how to walk nicely on a leash. He is crate trained and is used to going outside to do his business with a doggy door, so might need some support with learning in a new space. Wrangler would do great with getting some additional training for basic manners and is sure to make it a game! He has not met big dogs or cats yet, so slow introductions will be important to monitor how he does. Wrangler loves kids because they can match his goofy/playful energy!
