Meet Wile – The Happy-Go-Lucky Goofball Who Makes Everything Fun
Wile is the perfect mix of playful, sweet, silly, and easygoing.
He's a friendly, social guy who approaches life like there might be something fun waiting around every corner. He loves other dogs, enjoys exploring, and is always ready for toys, zoomies, or a good chew bone.
And sometimes the best toy isn't even a toy.
Just ask Wile about ice cubes.
Wile Loves:
-Playing with other dogs
-Sniffing and exploring
-Playing with toys
-Chewing bones
-Zoomies
-Meeting people
-Getting attention
-Going on outings
-Investigating anything that looks fun
-Apparently, chasing ice cubes across the floor
Wile's Favorite Thing:
Having fun with whoever happens to be around.
Wile is immediately friendly and wants attention from everyone.
He's social, people-oriented, and absolutely loves other dogs. He has a nice medium energy level and a great balance of playful enthusiasm and sweetness.
His foster describes him as well-tempered, silly, and the right mix of playful and sweet.
The Great Ice Cube Discovery
In Wile's foster home, the resident dog has a little tradition.
Whenever someone gets ice from the ice maker, he gets a cube slid across the floor to chase.
Then Wile discovered the game.
His foster says Wile thought it was the greatest thing ever and looked completely ridiculous trying to catch the slippery ice cube as it shot around the floor.
That's Wile.
Give him something simple, and he'll find a way to turn it into entertainment.
Still Learning the House Rules
Wile is crate trained and does exceptionally well in his crate.
House training, however, is still a work in progress. Wile is not currently house trained, so his adopter should be prepared to establish a consistent potty routine and continue teaching him.
He knows "Come," although selective hearing occasionally makes an appearance.
His leash skills also need continued practice.
Wile is food motivated and eager to engage, which should be helpful as his family continues working on his manners and training.
A Playful Guy Still Learning Self-Control
Wile can get excited.
He may be jumpy when greeting people, can become mouthy during play, and is sometimes easily overstimulated.
These aren't currently considered major behavioral concerns, but he will benefit from continued structure, appropriate outlets for his energy, and consistent reinforcement of good manners.
He's an enthusiastic guy who's still learning when it's time to bring the excitement level back down.
Dogs, Cats & Kids
Wile loves other dogs and would be a great candidate for a home with a canine playmate.
He also coexists well with cats and is good with children.
With his social personality and love of activity, Wile could be a great family companion for a home that wants a dog who's ready to participate in the fun.

Meet & Greet Availability:
Wile's foster is not currently available to travel for meet-and-greets.
Wile was found as a stray puppy living on the streets.
Now he's getting a chance to discover what life as someone's dog is supposed to look like—and he seems pretty happy about the arrangement.
He's playful without being nonstop, social with people and animals, great in his crate, and has just enough goofiness to make everyday life more entertaining.
Wile still has some things to learn, particularly house training and leash manners, but underneath those unfinished skills is a sweet, well-tempered dog with all the makings of a wonderful companion.
Give him consistency, plenty of opportunities to play, and someone willing to keep teaching him.
And maybe save him an ice cube every once in a while.
