Story
Hi there, I'm Olivia! I'm a tiny bundle of joy, full of playful energy and love. My days are filled with chasing after my favorite squeaky toys, and there's nothing I enjoy more than a good cuddle session. I've been told I'm quite the charmer with my friendly personality. I'm small, but my heart is big, and I have so much love to give. I'm the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. I may be living in a foster home now, but I dream of a home where I can share my love and playfulness. Adopting me means gaining a forever friend who will bring joy and warmth to your life every day. I promise, we'll have the best time together! Olivia's adoption fee is $350.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, spay, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. Story
Meet Opal, a small breed puppy who brings joy to everyone around her. Opal is the embodiment of playfulness, always ready to chase a ball or tug on a rope. She has an affinity for toys, and her favorites are those that sparkle like the gem she's named after. Opal is also incredibly cuddly. She loves to snuggle up and share warmth, providing comfort to anyone lucky enough to be in her presence. But what truly sets Opal apart is her sweet, loyal nature. She is eager to form a bond that lasts a lifetime, making her the perfect companion. She has a slight mobility issue due to lameness on her back legs.  We discovered it soon enough that it didn’t cause additional harm. Opal's playful spirit, cuddly nature, and unwavering loyalty make her an ideal addition to any loving home. Consider adopting Opal and let her fill your life with love, laughter, and loyalty. Opal's adoption fee is $350.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, spay, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. Story
8/6/24 Is there not a Chihuahua person out there looking for a little guy who does not ask for much attention? He enjoys being in his ex pen watching the other dogs but not being bothered by them. He's quick to get his business done outside but does need to wear a belly band inside as he likes to sometimes sneak a marking in. Where is his person? He's still waiting .10/24/23 Yes, Toby is a Grumpy old man. But he doesn't require much attention. He's quiet in his exercise pen and likes to stroll around the fenced yard. He'll find a sunny spot to soak up some sun, and then he's ready to come back in and climb back in his bed. Toby is a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix, approximately 6 years old. He came to us from being saved off the streets of a big Texas town. Toby needs a home that can help him trust people. He doesn't really want to be handled but likes to observe from a safe space out of the reach of people. Toby craves the safety of his crate - he will go outside into the fenced yard when you open his crate door, and he comes back in when called and will hop in his crate. He does not appreciate hands in his crate, so if you need to pick him up, talking quietly to him in an area where he cannot hide, he will allow you to pick him up and accept a few skritches. He's black and white and weighs about 10 pounds. He gets along with all the other dogs here and will need a securely fenced yard and someone who will allow him to relax and be with you without needing much attention until he knows he's safe. To inquire, please complete our application first, www.bongosbuddiesrescue.com .

Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS - MENTALLY CHALLENGED- secure fenced yard - companion dog required* Meet Money Penny!   She's 8 yrs old, 14 lbs, Chihuahua Mix. Penny is a Special Needs Dog due to genetics. She was brought into rescue with 3 other dogs we believe were siblings.  She's fine physically . Her biggest issue is her fear, slow comprehension and super sensitive t o noises and she'll run to safe zone.   She eats well, and she will take food & treats from your fingers. She does hang sometimes with the other dogs as seen in the photos. So having another dog in home is a must for her to understand how to be a dog. She can not be handle but she will sit in the room on a dog bed or next to you on a couch if other dogs are around. She is not a lap dog. Because she is frightened quickly, she has not been taken outside because not sure how noises outside and the wide-open space would affect her and whether she will be controllable. Foster home is still working on that. She is 95% potty pad trained. Sometimes when she hears a noise and runs, she may potty just because of running. But 95% of the time she used potty pads. PENNY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO WOULD JUST LET HER LIVE QUIETLY AND LEARN TO BE PART OF THE FAMILY. If you think you would like to make Penny part of your family, please fill out an Adoption Application and someone will call and talk to you about her personality.  She is a very sweet dog but not sure if she will ever adjust to loud noises. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Money’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
