Vince is still available! He came to rescue in really rough shape but is now healthy and happy!! Vince is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. He is a typical chi mix at 5yrs old. He will need a secure fence, he likes to escape but will come when called instead of doing the “catch me if you can” run. He does well with most dogs but again typical bossy chi. *SPECIAL NEEDS - MENTALLY CHALLENGED*   Meet Money Penny!   She's 8 yrs old, 14 lbs, Chihuahua Mix. Penny is a Special Needs Dog. She was brought into rescue with 3 other dogs we believe were siblings.  We're not sure how she became this way, but vetting was done when she came to us last year stating that it's highly possible, she's inbred which usually causes various types of genetic issues. In Penny's case, physically she's fine. Her biggest issue is her mind/thoughts that noises are very very scary to her and makes her run back and forth in the home until she finds a quiet place to lay.  She does eat well, and she will take any type of food from your fingers if you want to give her treats. She does hang sometimes with the other dogs as seen in the photos. So having another dog in home may help her understand being a dog. Because she is a bit erratic in movement around house, she has not been taken outside because not sure how noises outside and the wide-open space would affect her and whether she will be controllable. She is potty pad trained 99% of the time. Sometimes during her erratic running around, she may potty just because of running. But 99% of the time she used potty pads. PENNY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO WOULD JUST LET HER LIVE QUIETLY AND LEARN TO BE PART OF THE FAMILY. Ernest Goes To Jail, yes, to my embarrassment and dismay, I was found as a stray and spent some time in the doggie slammer. It seemed like forever!! But thanks to this rescue I got out on good behavior and am ready for that freedom ride! Yes, Ernest Rides Again!!! I'm just hoping your home is my last ride!! I have been working on the whole house and crate training thing and have got it down. I may have spent most of my life outside but I've caught on quickly. I coming to see that this whole living inside with a soft bed and a warm lap to lay on is pretty darn nice!! I would do best in a quiet adult only home. I'm needing my space but will come seeking companionship when I want it. Kinda like a cat in that sense. I do well with other dogs but would prefer a more mellow sibling that isn't too bouncy and constantly in my space. At 9 years and only 11lbs I would make a great family addition for someone that is looking for a great lil guy to chill with them. I'm already out of that destructive stage but still enjoy neighborhood strolls and catching some rays in the backyard. If you're looking for that needy pup that is always under foot seeking you attention, I'm not your boy. But if you want an independent lil guy that is just happy being in the same room, I might just be that lil man!! I would love to be your lil side kick....so what do ya say?
